All India Bank Employees' Association (AIBEA) is the beacon of bank employees in india, the premier Trade Union in banking industry with a social vision. The Bank Employees were the most exploited section during the pre independence period and the All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) was formed on 20th April 1946 at Calcutta to organize the bank employees of our country. After that, sever
al attempts were made to form a trade union for bank employees of Kerala by the leaders working in various banks. T.K.Velayudhan Nair was the foremost among those leaders who could finally succeed in forming a trade union for bank employees in the state of Kerala. He tried to form a trade union from Trivandrum where he was working as an employee of Travancore Forward Bank Ltd. Jubba Ramakrishna Pillai, a social worker of Trivandrum, Com. D.Damodaran Nair of Travancore Forward Bank and Com. K.V.Surendranath, a worker of Communist Party of India, were all associated with Com. T.K.Velayudhan Nair in his efforts to form a trade union for bank employees of Kerala.
