Memory walk on eve of world Alzheimer's day was organised today by ardsi Mysore. Mr srivatsa MLA Mysore inaugurated the walkathan Mrs Devika RTO Mysore was the guest of honour around 850 students staff citizens of Mysore participated in the event.

Walk started from kote Anjaneya Swamy temple, Mysore palace premises and concluded at Kukkaralli kere. Pamphlets were distributed to citizens to create awareness about AD.

Students and faculty of SVCP, ATME college of engineering and other various colleges, staff of hospitals participated.

Research has shown that music can be a powerful trigger for memories and emotions, even for people with dementia. While dementia may impair memory and cognitive function, music can still evoke strong responses and emotions. In fact, music therapy is often used to help people with dementia recall memories and improve their mood.

Studies have found that musical memories can be preserved even when other memories are lost, and that music can:

- Evoke emotions and nostalgia
- Stimulate memory recall
- Improve mood and reduce anxiety
- Encourage social interaction and engagement

This is because music is processed in multiple areas of the brain, including those that are less affected by dementia. So, even if memories are lost, music can still be a powerful way to connect with others and experience joy and pleasure.
