AOSU Meets Education Minister, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh

On 12th September 2026, a delegation of the All OLLO Students’ Union (AOSU), led by its President Sh. Nali Pangtok, along with Sh. Wango Lowang, General Secy. AOSU and Former AOSU President Sh. Nali Kholia met with Hon’ble Education Minister Sh P. D. Sona, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

During the brief interaction, the delegation highlighted key grievances concerning the shortage of teachers and inadequate school infrastructure in Laju Circle, Tirap District. These issues have been affecting the quality of education and creating difficulties for students and the teaching community.

The Hon’ble Minister gave a positive assurance that he would look into the matter and extend necessary support from his end.

AOSU appreciates the Minister for his time and assurance and hopes that the concerns raised will receive due attention and appropriate action at the earliest.

Education is the foundation of a better future and every student deserves access to quality education and proper infrastructure.

Landslide Damages Classrooms at GSS Lazu, AOSU Seeks Urgent Action

A massive landslide that struck Government Secondary School (GSS) Lazu on May 30 has severely damaged several classrooms, particularly those used by students of Classes III–VII, just before the resumption of regular classes.

Expressing concern, AOSU President Nali Pangtok urged the concerned authorities to immediately assess the damage and restore the affected classrooms to avoid disruption of students' education. He also highlighted long-standing issues at the school, including poor washroom facilities, lack of separate toilets for boys and girls and inadequate water supply.

Established in 1957, GSS Lazu is one of the oldest government schools in Tirap district. "If the school is one of the oldest government schools in the district, why can't it be maintained properly?" questioned Pangtok.

AOSU appeals to the authorities to take swift action and address both the landslide damage and the school's basic infrastructure needs in the interest of students and their future.

The All Ollo Welfare Association (AOWA) and All Ollo Students’ Union (AOSU) stand in complete solidarity with the bereaved family and strongly condemn this horrific act of violence. We appeal to the concerned authorities for a transparent, time-bound and impartial investigation to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice swiftly.

Today, dated on 22nd of May 2026, the All Ollo Students’ Union (AOSU) submitted a formal representation to the Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE) Khonsa, Tirap District, Arunachal Pradesh regarding the issue of relieving teachers from schools under Laju Circle without the appointment of relievers.The delegation was headed by the President of AOSU, Sh. Nali Pangtok and was accompanied by the former President of the All Ollo Students’ Union, Sh. Nali Kholia Rangsong and Sh. Chakngam Kongkang (Education Secretary) along with other union members.

In the representation, the Union expressed serious concern over the recent transfer and relieving of teachers from schools under Laju Circle without adequate replacement arrangements. AOSU strongly urged the concerned authority to ensure that no teacher from any Primary, Middle or Secondary schools under Laju Circle is relieved until a reliever is posted in place of the outgoing teacher, so that academic activities of students are not disrupted.The Union further requested the department to take immediate necessary steps to address any shortage of teaching staffs in the schools and ensure uninterrupted academic functioning across the Circle.

The Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE) Khonsa, gave a positive assurance regarding the demands submitted by the delegation and acknowledged the concerns raised by AOSU. The DDSE assured that appropriate action would be taken to safeguard the academic interests of the students and to address the issue at the earliest.

The representation was submitted in the larger interest of protecting the educational rights of students and ensuring smooth and uninterrupted academic functioning in all schools under Laju Circle.

All Ollo Students’ Union Holds Annual Conference cm Oath-Taking Ceremony at Lazu

Lazu, Arunachal Pradesh, January 28th, 2026: The All Ollo Students’ Union (AOSU) successfully organized its Annual Conference cm Oath-Taking Ceremony today at the Inspection Bungalow (IB), Lazu.

The programme was graced by the presence of Shri Jentoi Moinyak, President of the All Ollo Welfare Association (AOWA), who attended as the Chief Guest, and Shri Lablin Lowang, who joined as the Guest of Honour.
The event witnessed the formal induction of the newly selected executive members.
During the ceremony, outgoing President Shri Nali Kholia Rangsong formally handed over the charge to the newly appointed leadership.

Shri Nali Pangtok assumed office as the President, while Shri Wango Lowang took charge as the General Secretary of All Ollo Students' Union (AOSU) for the session 2026–2029.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Shri Jentoi Moinyak emphasized the vital role of education in shaping the future of youth. He encouraged the union to undertake awareness and advocacy programmes in schools and villages to promote education and to work towards bridging existing gaps in educational access and resources.
Guest of Honour Shri Lablin Lowang spoke on the alarming issue of drug abuse, highlighting its devastating impact on society and the younger generation. He called for collective efforts to combat substance abuse and urged students to adopt healthy and positive lifestyles.

The programme was also attended by several dignitaries, including Shri Wangjen Bangsia, President of the Nocte Students’ Union; Shri Ropong Kitnya President of the All Tutsa Students’ Union; Shri Ayang Hondik, then Assistant General Secretary of All Arunachal Pradesh Student's Union (AAPSU) and General Secretary of All Tirap District Students Union (ATDSU); and Shri Donglin Tangdong, Office Secretary of ATDSU.

Former AOSU Presidents Shri Kamshom Teppa and Shri Wangnen Lampa, along with distinguished teachers, students and executive members, were also present.

The All Ollo Students' Union reiterated its commitment to strive for the students community.
