The 7th Annual General Meeting of the Rera (Ronrang) Welfare Society was convened at Sinwang Village, Manmao, bringing together members, community leaders, and stakeholders in a spirit of unity and shared purpose.
On this significant occasion, the Youth Secretary, Shri Gankhum Ronrang, delivered a forward-looking address, wherein he emphasised the critical importance of structured career counselling for senior school students and collegians, along with the introduction of impactful skill development programmes for unemployed youth. He highlighted that timely guidance and capacity-building initiatives are essential to channel the energy of the youth towards meaningful and productive avenues.
Articulating a visionary and community-centric proposal, he advocated for the establishment of a collective financial assistance mechanism to support meritorious students from economically weaker sections who aspire to prepare for civil services and other government examinations. He noted that such an initiative, though beginning on a modest scale, has the potential to evolve into a self-sustaining ecosystem, where beneficiaries, upon achieving success, return as contributors to support the next generation, thereby creating a continuous and independent chain of empowerment within the society.
He further urged the community to initiate this endeavour with whatever resources are presently available, emphasising that commitment and collective will are far more significant than scale at the outset. According to him, even a handful of supported aspirants can set in motion a transformative cycle for the future.
In addition, Shri Ronrang strongly stressed the necessity of widespread awareness against substance abuse and addiction, describing it as a pressing social challenge that must be addressed through consistent education, engagement, and community intervention.
Concluding his address with a message of pragmatic optimism, he reaffirmed that gradual, consistent efforts, rooted in unity and responsibility can lead to profound and lasting change, echoing the belief that small beginnings today can shape a stronger and more self-reliant society tomorrow.
