The Balinong Youth Association (BYA), led by its President Shri Gankhum Ronrang Ji, had the privilege of meeting Shri R.D. Thungon Ji, Deputy Commissioner, Changlang, on the occasion of his assuming new responsibilities.

BYA conveyed its heartfelt congratulations and warmest wishes to Shri Thungon Ji, and presented him with a Tangsa handcrafted Man & Woman figurine, a symbolic expression of the love, respect, and support of the Tangsa community, along with our shared aspirations for the continued welfare and development of Changlang District.

The occasion also highlighted the rich potential of Tangsa traditional woodcraft as a cultural heritage and a promising avenue for local craftsmanship, livelihood generation, and sustainable community-based enterprise.

During the interaction, BYA also discussed the recently commenced APSSB coaching programme at the Smart Study Centre – Avinya Vidya Kendra, Balinong.

The Centre stands as a reflection of Shri Thungon Ji’s commitment to empowering rural youth through accessible education, guidance, and better opportunities. His efforts in strengthening educational access at the grassroots level are truly commendable and resonate with the larger vision of Viksit Bharat—where progress reaches every village and every aspiring young mind.

BYA looks forward to continued collaboration and collective efforts towards a more empowered, educated, and progressive Changlang.
