Had a wonderful time welcoming our new OC Kharsang, Inspector Au Shakti Lamgu, to his office today. Such a dynamic, inspiring, and approachable personality. Listening to his past initiatives and vision towards strengthening civil society genuinely left us inspired and deeply encouraged.

We believe that, under his leadership and policy-driven approach, BYA can work together in redefining certain systemic gaps and addressing anti-social practices, contributing towards a stronger, safer, and more progressive society.

Wishing him every success in his new assignment, along with good health and a fruitful tenure during his stay in Kharsang.

A truly enriching and memorable time at the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, meeting the Deputy Secretary of APLA, Shri Longman Ronrang, and having the privilege of listening to his insightful words, experiences, and perspectives while exploring the esteemed premises of the Assembly.

It was also an honour to present the “SUMLAH”
M”, the BYA Journal Magazine, and to receive the gracious APLA memento, making the occasion even more meaningful and inspiring.

Heartfelt gratitude to our respected elder, Shri Longman Ronrang, for his valuable time, wisdom, warm hospitality, and enlightening interaction.

Honoured to be part of the grand opening ceremony of the 1st Edition of the Namphuk Cricket Championship 2026, where BYA President Shri Gankhum Ronrang, along with GPC Balinong, Shri Kanman Ronrang, & executive members, attended as the Chief Guest. We were also privileged to share the occasion with Shri Lemshom Mossang, GB Namphuk, as Guest of Honour and Shri Lemko Mossang, GPC Namphuk, as Special Guest.

The championship beautifully embodied the powerful message, “Say No to Drugs.” We believe such initiatives go beyond words, creating real impact by inspiring positive change, offering hope, and encouraging a healthier path for our youth through sports and community engagement.

We also had a wonderful time interacting with the community and enjoying the scrumptious delicacies prepared by the SHGs of Namphuk.

It was truly a memorable and enjoyable event filled with sportsmanship, unity, and brotherhood. Wishing all participating teams the very best for the tournament ahead.

Heartfelt thanks to the Namphuk Youth Association and the organizing committee for their warm hospitality and excellent arrangements.

BYA OUTLINES VISION FOR BALINONG COMMON FACILITY CENTRE

The Balinong Youth Association (BYA) has outlined its vision for the proposed Common Facility Centre (CFC) at Balinong, describing it as a community-driven initiative aimed at cultural preservation, livelihood generation and sustainable rural development.
According to BYA, the proposed centre will focus on preserving and promoting traditional Tangsa weaving, handloom, woodcraft and indigenous craftsmanship while creating income opportunities for artisans, Self Help Groups (SHGs) and rural youth. The association stated that dedicated spaces will be created for artisans to produce traditional textiles and crafts, while also facilitating the transfer of skills and knowledge to younger generations through training and mentorship.
BYA said the centre will also promote cultural tourism by allowing visitors to witness the making of Tangsa textiles and indigenous crafts, helping create a sustainable market for local products, including GI-tagged Tangsa textiles. The project is expected to support entrepreneurship, strengthen local livelihoods and contribute to the socio-economic development of Balinong and surrounding areas.
The association expressed confidence that, with support from NABARD and other stakeholders, the proposed Common Facility Centre can help preserve indigenous heritage while generating economic opportunities for the community.

Delighted to host the entire team of NABARD and GI representatives from across the Northeast for a scrumptious Tangsa traditional lunch at our humble Balinong Village, during the ongoing 3-day workshop at Namsai. The meal was lovingly prepared by SHG Eracho, reflecting the warmth, hospitality, and rich culinary heritage of our community.

It was truly a wonderful time interacting and exchanging insights with the delegates, while learning the significance of GI and its growing role in empowering communities, preserving indigenous identity, and creating sustainable opportunities for local artisans and producers.

BYA remains steadfast in its commitment towards community empowerment and the vision of building an egalitarian society. Providing encouragement and opportunities to SHG Shakut is one such step we deeply believe has positively impacted and uplifted the group in many meaningful ways.
