Kharghar Ayyappa Seva Sangham

Kharghar, Navi Mumbai has been a melting pot to people setting up base here from various parts of Mumbai and beyond. With these residents came their spiritual pursuits. Like spiritual seekers elsewhere they sort out like-minded individuals. In the year 2003, ardent Ayyappa Devotees came together, to conceptualise the formation of "KHARGHAR AYYAPPA SEVA SANGHAM" (KASS). These founders came from a b

ackground of active participation in Ayyappa Organisations and Poojas over prolonged durations in their ex-locales. The wish to continue their spiritual journey in Kharghar formed the core driver. Under the aegis of the KASS an annual one day Pooja in the month of December was initiated. Over the years this annual spectacle evoked tremendous response and has become a permanent fixture in spiritual calendar of Kharghar. KASS got registered under BPT Act 1950, No.E-486 (Raigad) in the year 2005. Like a ripple in the water, KASS's membership is spreading out tremendously with each passing year. In 2009, with a view to provide devotees a serene place to offer prayers and to form a base for all its spiritual activities, KASS aimed to develop an Ayyappa Temple in Kharghar . Driven with this commitment the members undertook the ardent process of convincing the concerned authorities. In 2012 CIDCO approved allocation of a 700sq.mtr plot in Sector 15, Kharghar and handed over the plot to KASS in 2016. With this development, KASS is now geared up to undertake the important task of constructing an Ayyappa Temple in Kharghar.
