St. John Ambulance played a crucial role in providing first aid and emergency assistance at the Manasa Puja and Maha Mela held today(01/04/2025) in Mahisha & Gotgaria village, Jakpur. The grand event witnessed a massive turnout of approximately 7 to 8 lakh devotees who gathered to participate in the sacred puja.

Understanding the challenges posed by the large gathering, a dedicated team of 15 volunteers from St. John Ambulance was deployed to ensure the safety and well-being of the attendees. Many devotees, particularly those observing fasts for religious purposes, required medical attention. Our team diligently provided first aid to all those in need.

During the mela, around 50 to 60 devotees suffered from various health issues. Among them, two individuals were in critical condition and were promptly rescued by our team and transported to the hospital for further medical care. The remaining affected devotees received immediate assistance from our volunteers and were safely sent back home after stabilization.

St. John Ambulance extends heartfelt gratitude to the Puja Committee for inviting us and giving us the opportunity to serve the devotees during this auspicious event.
