When ordered by his company commander to fall back for medical aid, his resolute reply was:

Without wasting a moment, he applied a field dressing to his wounds and, bleeding heavily, pressed on with the attack. Alongside his commander, he bravely stormed the enemy sangar atop Lone Hill and cleared it. โš”๏ธ๐Ÿ”๏ธ

When their communication equipment was hit, it was Rifleman Jai Ram Singh who risked his life to retrieve a spare radio set, re-established contact, and called in reinforcements โ€” turning the tide of the battle. ๐Ÿ“ป๐Ÿ‘Š

On the night of 12-13 June 1999, amidst the treacherous heights of Point 4590 at 15,000 feet, Havildar Sultan Singh led his section with unmatched courage. Assigned to capture the strategic Area Rock, he skillfully deployed his fire support elements and began advancing from a flank.

As the enemy repositioned to unleash heavy fire on his section, Hav Sultan Singh showcased fearless determination. Undeterred by relentless enemy fire and harsh terrain, he commanded his men to launch an assault and personally charged towards an enemy Medium Machine Gun (MMG) post, firing relentlessly.

When his ammunition was exhausted, he displayed legendary bravery โ€” charging the MMG post barehanded and successfully neutralizing it. In this supreme act of valour, he made the ultimate sacrifice.

His heroic action ignited the spirit of his comrades, leading them to swiftly capture Area Rock, turning the tide of the battle.

On the chilling night of 12-13 June 1999, during the intense Operation Vijay, Subedar Bhanwar Lal fearlessly led his platoon in a daring assault to capture the strategic Tololing Top in the Drass sector. ๐Ÿ”๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

As they neared their objective, a barrage of enemy fire rained down upon them. ๐Ÿ’ฅโš”๏ธ The leading section of his platoon suffered three casualties, halting the attack momentarily.

In that crucial moment, Subedar Bhanwar Lal displayed unmatched courage. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Undeterred by danger, he surged forward, rallying his men with battle cries of valor. Just 50 meters from the enemy position, he was struck by a burst of Light Machine Gun fire. โšก

On 28th June 1999, during Operation Vijay, Captain Vijyant Thapar, barely out of the academy, displayed unmatched valor leading the leading platoon of Alfa Company to assault Area Knoll in Drass Sector.

As they advanced, the platoon came under intense enemy artillery shelling, causing heavy casualties. Unfazed, Captain Thapar swiftly organized the evacuation of the wounded and rallied his shaken men for a counter-attack.

โš”๏ธ Facing relentless enemy Medium Machine Gun fire, he led from the front โ€” charging fearlessly, firing from the hip, and hurling gr***des ๐Ÿ”ฅ. Despite suffering grievous injuries to his hand and stomach, he kept advancing, urging his men onward with undying spirit.

Inspired by the gallant leadership of their young commander, the platoon stormed the enemyโ€™s dominating position. The sheer audacity of this charge forced the enemy to abandon their tactically superior post.

๐Ÿ’” Tragically, Captain Vijyant Thapar succumbed to his injuries โ€” etching his name in history as a true son of India who lived and died for his motherland.

Ravindranath, Commanding Officer of 2 RAJ RIF, was entrusted with the mission to capture the strategic heights of Tololing, Point 4590, and Area Black Rock in the Dras sector โ€” key positions overlooking the vital Srinagar-Leh highway. ๐Ÿšฉ

โš”๏ธ Despite relentless enemy artillery and automatic fire, Col. Ravindranath personally led his reconnaissance teams into dangerous territory, setting an inspiring example of courage and leadership.

On 12 June 1999, as enemy shelling and gunfire intensified at Tololing, he swiftly moved to the frontlines, took control of the situation, and turned the tide of battle. His valor led to the successful capture and consolidation of Tololing and Point 4590 โ€” a major breakthrough in the war. ๐ŸŽ–๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

On 03 June 1999, during the fierce battles of the Kargil War, Lance Havildar Ram Kumar of 18 GRENADIERS displayed unmatched courage and indomitable spirit while assaulting the heavily fortified Tololing heights in the Dras sector, Jammu & Kashmir ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ.

As the assault team advanced, enemy forces unleashed heavy machine gun fire. With complete disregard for his own safety ๐Ÿ’ช, Lance Havildar Ram Kumar bravely crawled towards the enemy sangar, despite sustaining bullet wounds on his shoulder and waist ๐Ÿฉธ.

Refusing to back down, he lobbed a hand gr***de ๐Ÿ’ฃ, neutralizing one enemy soldier and injuring two others. In a close-quarters hand-to-hand combat, he valiantly eliminated the remaining occupants of the post โš”๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ.

His supreme sacrifice and valour remain a shining example of the spirit of the Indian Army. He later succumbed to his injuries, leaving behind a story of unparalleled heroism and patriotism.

On 03 June 1999, during the intense battles of the Kargil War, Subedar Randhir Singh of the 18 GRENADIERS was entrusted with a daring mission โ€” to lead his platoon in an assault on the fiercely defended Tololing Ridge in the Dras sector ๐Ÿ”๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ.

At an altitude of 15,000 ft, under relentless enemy Heavy Machine Gun (HMG) fire, Subedar Randhir Singh showcased unmatched courage and leadership. ๐Ÿšฉโš”๏ธ

He swiftly deployed his platoon and, with a small team, crawled towards an enemy sangar (bunker). In a bold close-combat attack, he neutralized the HMG post, eliminating two intruders.

Despite sustaining serious injuries, this braveheart didn't stop. Confronting a second enemy sangar, he charged forward alone, engaging in hand-to-hand combat and killed another intruder before finally succumbing to his wounds. ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ”ฅ

On the night of 3rd/4th July 1999, amidst the brutal heights of Tiger Hill, Dras Sector, Captain Sachin Annarao Nimbalkar displayed unmatched valour and leadership. Tasked with capturing the formidable Tiger Hill Top as part of a daring multi-pronged assault, he fearlessly led his men from the front โ€” braving treacherous cliffs, icy winds, and relentless enemy shelling at an altitude of 16,500 feet โ„๏ธ๐Ÿ”๏ธ.

For over 12 grueling hours, Captain Nimbalkar and his troops advanced under heavy fire. Nearing the enemy positions, he swiftly established a fire base and spearheaded a cliff assault using mountaineering gear ๐Ÿชข. Reaching the summit, he masterfully directed his troops to encircle the enemy, cutting off escape routes with automatic weapons. In fierce close combat, Captain Nimbalkar personally cleared bunkers using combat knives and bayonets ๐Ÿ”ชโš”๏ธ.

Overwhelmed by the fearless offensive, the enemy panicked and fled, leaving behind 12 dead soldiers and a significant cache of arms and ammunition ๐Ÿ“ฆ๐Ÿ”ซ.

A legendary act of bravery that helped turn the tide of the Kargil War and remains a proud chapter in Indiaโ€™s military history ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณโค๏ธ.

In bone-chilling cold โ„๏ธ, under relentless enemy shelling ๐Ÿ’ฃ and direct fire, Rifleman Mehar Singh climbed a near-impossible rocky cliff ๐Ÿชจ. With his Light Machine Gun (LMG) by his side, he stealthily approached the enemy sangar and unleashed a rain of precise, fearless fire โš”๏ธ, creating chaos in enemy ranks while his fellow soldiers charged ahead for the final assault.

In the fierce battle for Point 4875 in Mashkoh Valley during the Kargil War of 1999, Rifleman Shyam Singh of 13 JAK RIF ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ displayed unmatched courage and devotion to duty. Volunteering to be part of Charlie Company Commander's assault team to capture the strategic area known as Flat Top, he fearlessly led his men through rugged terrain, an inhospitable atmosphere, and relentless enemy shelling ๐ŸŒ„๐Ÿ’ฃ.

As the team advanced, they were exposed in daylight barely 200 metres from their objective. With no cover and no room for hesitation, Rifleman Shyam Singh, undeterred by the threat to his life, charged towards a heavily fortified enemy sangar ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ”ฅ. In a fierce hand-to-hand combat, he valiantly killed one enemy intruder with his bayonet and wounded another ๐Ÿ—ก๏ธโš”๏ธ.

Tragically, during the assault, he was struck by enemy sniper fire from a nearby sangar and succumbed to his injuries, laying down his life for the motherland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณโค๏ธ.

His gallant act remains a shining example of raw courage, selfless service, and patriotism that continues to inspire generations of Indian soldiers and citizens alike ๐Ÿ™โœจ.
