Development of the people of the lower strata of society is a special concern of IMIDS. Taking in to the consideration of Idukki IMIDS focuses in the agricultural education and development of the region. It promotes an integrated farming system 15 hectors. Farm is being developed at Anakkara where inclusive farming concepts are successfully introduced in Agricultural Animal Husbandry, food processing etc. This inclusive farm consist of different domestic animals ,birds,fishes, poli and green house,and open air cultivation of vegetables bananas tea, coffee,pepper,and other spices,rice and tuber crops. A blend of conventional,organic and bio-dynamic trends of agriculture are practiced under one umbrella of IMIDS. Many innovative programmes are held in fulfillment of the noble objectives of IMIDS
