The Assistive Device Distribution Camp held at DACE Academy, Kannur, was successfully completed with the distribution of essential assistive devices to selected beneficiaries.

Brave Journey of Nyha Zehrin

At just 9 months old, Nyha Zehrin came to Akkara Foundation, beginning a journey filled with hope, patience, and countless little milestones.

From not being able to sit independently to achieving independent sitting, standing, and walking, every step has been a beautiful achievement.

Now, at 2 years old, Nyha’s journey reminds us that progress may take time, but every small step matters.

From “not yet” to “I can.”
From therapy to independence.

The battle was real. The spirit was stronger.

The Akkara Premier League – Season 2 brought our staff together for a thrilling day of cricket, competition, and unforgettable moments!

From the very first over, every match was tight, competitive, and played toe-to-toe. Every run mattered. Every wicket changed the game. And every team gave it everything they had.

The grand finale saw Akkara Hawks 🦅 go head-to-head with Akkara Titans ⚡ in a nail-biting contest.

And after an incredible battle…

Creating awareness. Building understanding. Saving lives.

As part of Su***de Prevention Awareness Day, Akkara Foundation, Bekal, in association with the Department of Psychology, conducted a Su***de Prevention Awareness Session for community frontline workers and grassroots leaders.

The session focused on recognising signs of emotional distress, responding with empathy, and strengthening community-level support systems. By equipping those who are closely connected with the community, we can create more informed and compassionate spaces where people feel safe to speak, seek help, and be heard.

A meaningful step towards building communities where mental health is understood, conversations are encouraged, and no one feels alone.

Akkara Foundation, Bekal, in association with the Department of Psychology, conducted a Su***de Prevention Awareness Session for community frontline workers and grassroots leaders, creating a space to understand emotional distress, recognise warning signs, and encourage people to seek help without fear or judgement.

Because sometimes, listening, understanding, and being there can make a life-changing difference.
