Turning awareness into action through practical learning...🌱

Under the LIC HFL HRIDAY Project, implemented by Shramik Bharti, a practical natural farming training was organised for 86 farmers from four villages in Moga district. The session focused on promoting simple, affordable, and sustainable farming practices that farmers can easily adopt in their fields.

The training was led by Ram Singh Ji, who explained the importance of natural farming in improving soil health, reducing dependence on chemical inputs, and conserving beneficial insects that support a healthy farm ecosystem.

A key highlight of the programme was the live demonstration of seven natural formulations, including growth promoters and natural insecticides, prepared using locally available ingredients. The interactive session encouraged farmers to ask questions, share experiences, and gain confidence in adopting natural farming methods.

Through the LIC HFL HRIDAY Project, Shramik Bharti continues to strengthen farmers' knowledge, promote eco-friendly agriculture, and support resilient rural communities.

Disaster Risk Reduction Training Program

Disasters do not come with a warning, and being prepared can make all the difference.

A Disaster Risk Reduction Training Program, supported by PWC India Foundation, was conducted in flood-affected areas to equip farmers, youth, and community members with practical knowledge and essential skills to respond effectively during emergencies.

The training covered important areas such as understanding flood patterns, sustainable crop planning, fire safety, lightning protection, first aid, snakebite management, drowning rescue, and CPR. These sessions focused on building awareness and strengthening the capacity of the community to face disasters with confidence.

A key part of this initiative was community involvement. By bringing together farmers, youth volunteers, and local groups, the training encouraged teamwork, shared responsibility, and collective planning for relief, sanitation, food supply, and health support. This community-based approach plays an important role in reducing risks and improving response during challenging times.

For flood-prone regions, such initiatives are crucial as they not only help protect lives but also safeguard livelihoods. When communities come together, learn together, and prepare together, they become stronger and more resilient for the future.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Dhruv Kumar and Peshkar Yadav Sir for their valuable guidance, practical demonstrations, and dedication in making this training impactful and meaningful.

Building safer communities starts with awareness, preparedness, and collective action.
