On the occasion of Independence Day (15th August 2026), Government Degree College, Rey organized a massive tree plantation drive under the national initiative "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam". The event was jointly conducted by the Eco & Energy Club in collaboration with the NSS Unit of the college.
During the event, students and volunteers actively participated in planting saplings across the campus and surrounding areas. The drive aimed to raise environmental awareness, promote green living, and honor mothers by dedicating a tree in their name.

The event beautifully highlighted the message: "Nurturing Nature, Loving Maa" and "A Symbol of Gratitude, A Commitment to the Future."

To mark International Youth Day 12/08/2026, we organized a special awareness and pledge drive at GDC Rey under the NSS banner. During the event, more than 70 energetic NSS volunteers came together to take pledges dedicated to Youth Day and building a drug-free community. Adding immense value to the program, Dr. Sambhrant Shukla (Assistant Professor, Department of History) conducted an informative session educating the students about HIV/AIDS awareness and crucial preventive measures. It was inspiring to see such strong youth participation, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making this program meaningful and successful.
