Background of Organization. Introduction:
Equinox Foundation (EF) is a 10 year old NGO, working in the field of livelihoods training for underprivileged youth’s and Women's. Through its project Equinox Foundation, it engages the youth from the villages and slums to provide them with training in employable vocational skills and supports them in securing employment/self employment. n is registered in 2010 as an NGO founded by a group of qualified people like BFA Applied Art, Aeronautical Eng, Civil Eng, Mechanical Eng, Charted accountant, Advocate, etc. EF has provided services to slum dwellers residing in Maharashtra, in the field of Education, Healthcare, Environment and Vocational Training. Equinox Foundation has broadened its horizon to be of service to a larger population of less educated deprived youth of Economic Backward class covering the slums & villages of Maharashtra Empowering a larger body of people both youth, male & female, with a vocational skill leading to employment or entrepreneurship. Equinox Foundation intends to reach out to all parts of our country with its EF Model. With its experience will be launching over 28 vocational training centers majority of centers will spread across Maharashtra Region. The transition of youth to empowerment through livelihood training and placement assistance leads the youth towards an opportunity to become a part of the economic mainstream and the outcome that is generated is EF contribution to nation building. Today Equinox Foundation works on providing livelihoods in the following 6 formats.

The major roles of the Equinox Foundation processes are knowledge creation, conducting advanced level courses, setting up of training centers, capacity building of partners, exams and certification etc. The Courses offered include Retailing, Hospitality, Advertising, Event Management, Commodity Market, Banking and Finance, Electrical Wireman, Domestic Appliances Repairs, Multi-skill Technician, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Mobile phone repairs, Motor Mechanic, Motor Driving, Tailoring and Fashion Designing, Beautician, Mehendi, English Speaking & Life skills , Basic Computers and Entrepreneurship etc. Equinox Foundation which started its momentous journey in 2010 with just 118 under privilege youth’s.
