Mission : Our vision for every child is: to empower and create opportunity, educate and cultivate discipline, support them in comprehensive growth in terms of value and confidence. "Children must be taught how to think not on what to think". Alai was ideated on Jan 2016 and was functioning through without a name. Started evening tutoring for fishermen’s Children. And later was named அலை -The Art o

f Life and started with activities starting August 18th, 2017.
''Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world'' is a famous excerpt which signifies the importance of education to our society. We believe in providing the essential tools to the needy little ones to explore their horizon. Our focus is to provide opportunities for the denied where we introduce our children to the cycle of unlearning and learning which congeals their fundamental cognition. Following the thoughtful words of Dr. Abdul Kalam - “Great dreams of great dreamers are always transcended”, we help kids to unleash their full potential and to realize their dreams by helping them. Apart from fundamentals in the formal education system, to have a healthy colorful life, a child needs exposure to arts and skills. By unlearning the spam, we rekindle the desire in the kids to learn. Apart from the mainstream interests like engineering and teaching, there lie numerous job opportunities in sundry fields. Introducing the Children to the hobby of stargazing, to bring out an Astrophysicist in them, showing them how to capture a perfect snap to reveal the Cinematographer in them, giving them coloring books to inspire the Van Gogh in their precious little hearts and introduce every little child to any of arts .We truly believe that the children must be taught how to think, and not what to think.

Glimpse of wall painting
Building a Kalvi Kudil (learning aid) and painting it and making it an aesthetic environment creates possibilities for learning, triggering the child’s imagination, and instilling a sense of wonder in them!
An aesthetic environment relieves children of boredom and increases constructive use of their time. The theme Paint & Inspire Event adds educational ‘value’ of a holistic and makes learning fun and child-centric.

Building a strong concrete study center for children and the community was our dream. Our dreams started to breathe, and they are alive because of each of you. You breathed into this as part of a donation; your contribution was not just donations; it was trust that was built so strongly in us. Thank you for all your love, support, and trust. Your little chap learns through modeling; you are the first model, the first God,the first parents, the first teacher and the First of everything for him or her. They are great impressions of you. So model and educate every little child with the values and good practices of gender equality right from infancy. Educate them to break gender stereotypes and give them the best childhood environment to blossom into a better adulthood.

About Us 🖊️

Not every child is provided with an equal chance to explore their childhood and education in the society we live in.
So we brainstormed our thoughts to empower and educate the tribal children and their parents in the community. The ideas that popped up had different ideologies and objectives. Then we had a chance to give shape to our ideas. There, we together made a mud hut 🛖, where children , and volunteers sat together to learn, teach ,taught , read,write and explore education. A space filled with children for literacy.

It was yesterday morning that Mr. Gandhi Mani Balan, the mentor from the Agaram Foundation, and his family visited Alai Kalvi Kudil to celebrate Deepavali with children.

The day started with an introduction, a few games, talks, and songs by Mentor Gandhi.

Mrs. Subathra, the teacher, and his husband, who runs Perumal Agency Auro Water, want to distribute sweets and crackers; they also donated and celebrated by giving Rs 6,000 for Alai Kalvi Kudil Renovation.
