Thanal mec THANAL (To Humans A Noble Acme Life) is a charity based organisation under the NSS unit of Govt. Model Engineering College, Cochin.

THANAL was established as a students' initiative aiming to make a qualitative difference to the lives of the less fortunate. Born under the NSS unit of MEC as a realization of the idea proposed by Mr. Anas S R (an M.Tech student at Model Engineering College), and with the indispensable support of the Principal,Dr. Suresh Kumar P, teachers and students of the college, THANAL came into being on the

8th of January 2011. THANAL aims at encouraging and promoting among young professionals the drive to commit time from their busy schedules towards fulfilling their obligations towards society.
