GhulGhuli-ঘুলঘুলি An initiative to bring smiles on the faces of people, deprived of their basic needs.

On May 1, 2026, ‘Ghulghuli’, in collaboration with the Institute of Dental Studies & Technologies (IDST), Meerut, organized the “Festival of Red & Green” Blood Donation Camp at the IDST Mayo Blood Centre in loving memory of the founder of IDST, Late Padma Shri Dr. L.K. Gandhi. The event turned out to be an overwhelming success, with around 80 donors participating, reflecting the incredible enthusiasm and spirit of humanity among all.

In response to the growing demand for safe blood in hospitals and for patients in need, we actively contributed through blood donation while also spreading awareness about environmental responsibility. Staying true to the vision of ‘Ghulghuli’, each donor was gifted a plant as a souvenir, symbolizing the commitment to both saving lives and nurturing nature.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the faculty members, students, donors, technicians, and volunteers of IDST for making this event a success. A special applause goes to our student volunteers, whose dedication was truly commendable. Their sincere efforts in handling every small and large responsibility made this initiative a remarkable celebration of life, humanity, and sustainability.

On 12th April 2026, GHULGHULI organized a Blood donation camp at Regent Friends Association (Tollygunge), with the help of the Thalassemia Society.
To overcome the rising demand of the blood in hospitals and blood banks ‘Ghulghuli’ and their members not only donated blood but encouraged the students to be aware of the responsibilities to our society. By gifting plants as a souvenir, Ghulghuli aims to intensify the awareness about protecting the environment.
Thank you to all members for making this celebration of Red and Green an absolute success.

This winter, Ghulghuli carried out a blanket distribution drive near Madanpur Khadar Basti, along the banks of the Yamuna River, New Delhi.

We met families who did not have homes of their own, migrant workers and daily-wage farmers who cultivated other people’s fields to survive. They lived without the bare minimum: no secure shelter, no assured drinking water, and no protection against the harsh winter cold.

There were nearly 1,000 families living in the area. With the resources available to us, we were able to distribute 50 blankets to those who needed them the most.

Though limited in number, these blankets brought warmth and relief during the coldest days of winter.

We sincerely thank Vikas da for his support and guidance throughout this journey, which made this effort possible.

This initiative stands as a small but meaningful step taken by Ghulghuli to extend warmth and humanity where it was needed.

As Durga Pujo approached, Team Ghulghuli reached K-Plot in the Sundarbans to share new clothes with around 120 people, including many children. Offering a bit of festive joy to families with limited means brought a gentle brightness to their celebrations and reminded us how small acts can make a season feel warmer for someone else.

Our heartfelt thanks to Kamal Babu, Gautam Babu, and Anupam Babu, along with all members of Raichand Sporting Club, for standing with us throughout this effort. We look forward to more hands joining in, so that together we can continue bringing hope and support to the communities that need it most.

On 21st September 2025, Ghulghuli joined hands with the Protigya Foundation in Purulia. With Durga Puja around the corner, a festival of joy, hope, and new beginnings, we celebrated by gifting new clothes to 100 children.

We extend heartfelt thanks to Mr. Suraj, Mr. Mitin Mahato, and their team for their seamless coordination and support.

Seeing the children’s bright smiles reminded us that kindness, no matter how small, can make a big difference. For Ghulghuli, moments like these strengthen our bond with the community and inspire us to keep spreading joy and hope.

On June 29, 2025, ‘Ghulghuli’ organized a blood donation camp with the support of the Thalassemia Society. The event was a tremendous success, with more than twenty donors participating.

In response to the growing demand for blood in hospitals and blood banks, ‘Ghulghuli’ and its members not only donated blood but also encouraged others to recognize their environmental responsibilities. As a gesture, plants were given as souvenirs to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the environment.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the donors, members, and volunteers for making this celebration of life and nature such a remarkable success.
