Through our School Outreach Programme during Wildlife Week 2026 in Mount Abu, WCB Research Foundation, in collaboration with SAFE Sloth Bear, reached 1,403 young minds across 8 schools. 🐻

By introducing children to wildlife, biodiversity, and the importance of ecological balance, we aim to inspire the next generation to become responsible stewards of nature.

National Sloth Bear Symposium 2026 | Mount Abu, Rajasthan | 12 October 2026

Celebrating the 5th World Sloth Bear Day with a shared commitment to wildlife conservation and coexistence! 🇮🇳

Jointly Organised by WCB Research Foundation and Wildlife SOS the symposium brought together 130+ participants from 15 states to exchange knowledge, share research and strengthen conservation efforts for sloth bears.

From bear ecology and human–sloth bear conflict to captive management, animal health and ecotourism, the discussions highlighted the importance of science, collaboration and community participation.

The Mount Abu Declaration marks an important step towards strengthening collective efforts for sloth bear conservation in India.

Together, let us protect sloth bears and their habitats for generations to come!
