🏃‍♂️🌍 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2026 | 26th June

Jorhat Rehabilitation Foundation (Way of Hope) was honoured to participate in the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking programme organized by the Directorate of Social Justice & Empowerment, Assam.

As part of the observance, our team proudly joined the Anti-Drug Awareness Marathon, standing together with the community to spread the message of a drug-free Assam. We are delighted to share that and congratulations to our director for securing 5th Position in the marathon, making this occasion even more memorable.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Directorate of Social Justice & Empowerment, Assam for organizing this meaningful initiative and providing a platform to unite organizations, institutions, and citizens in the fight against drug abuse.

🌍 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking | 26th June 2026

On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Jorhat Rehabilitation Foundation (Way of Hope) successfully organized a Drug Awareness Programme at Don Bosco School, Chinamora.

The programme aimed to educate and inspire students about the harmful effects of drug abuse, the importance of making healthy life choices, and the value of staying drug-free. Through meaningful discussions and awareness sessions, participants were encouraged to become responsible individuals and ambassadors of a drug-free society.

A heartfelt thank you to the management, staff, and students of Don Bosco School, Chinamora for their warm hospitality, active participation, and support in making this awareness initiative a success.

🌱 Two Days of Hope, Healing, and Transformation 🌱

A successful two-day program was organized at Jorhat Rehabilitation Foundation (Way of Hope) in collaboration with the Damini Foundation, with active participation from students of the Economics and Political Science Departments of Jagannath Barooah University.

During these two inspiring days, participants took part in mind games, hidden talent activities, and meaningful interactions. The most touching moments came when recovering individuals courageously shared their addiction journeys and recovery experiences, inspiring everyone with their strength, determination, and hope for a better future.

A special tree plantation drive was also conducted, where each recovering individual planted a sapling and pledged to care for it as their own child. The growing trees will stand as symbols of recovery, responsibility, and new beginnings.

The program fostered awareness, compassion, and mutual understanding, bringing together students and residents in a spirit of learning and encouragement.

✨ Recovery is possible. Every new day is a step toward a brighter future.
