🌱 From Anemia to Awareness: Bonita’s Journey 🌱

In Beesakopie Tea Estate in Tinsukia, Assam, little Bonita Tanti once struggled with anemia and low nutrition. With support from PBET her family learned to grow a nutrition garden filled with healthy vegetables.

Today, Bonita is thriving — stronger, happier, and healthier. Her family even preserved mustard seeds from their harvest, ready to replant and share with neighbours. 🌾

Bonita’s story is a reminder that small steps in nutrition and awareness can grow into lasting change. 💚

🌿 The Journey of Little Ishani 🌿

Three-year-old Ishani Mahato from Fatikjan 37 No. Line Beesakopie T.E in Tinsukia once struggled with anemia and poor nutrition. With support from PBET and local Anganwadi workers, her family learned about balanced diets and started a nutrition garden at home.

Today, Ishani is healthier and happier. Her family now grows a variety of vegetables, saves seeds for future use, and even earns extra income by selling surplus produce.

Ishani’s story is a beautiful reminder that awareness and small steps can lead to big changes — for both health and livelihood. 💚

🌳 International Forest Day Celebration 🌿

Fatikjan Gaon L.P. School in Tinsukia celebrated International Forest Day with 22 enthusiastic students🌱

The program included interactive discussions on the importance of forests, the water cycle, and pollution. Students also took part in fun activities—imitating animal sounds, sharing ideas on forest conservation, and exploring what happens when trees disappear. 🌍

The day ended with a joyful group song celebrating nature and unity. 💚

ideas to build a more just and inclusive community.

Across Assam, football is shaping new possibilities. Girls for Goals 2025–26 is part of that momentum ⚽

Hosted by Purva Bharati Educational Trust, the Girls for Goals Adivasi and Tea-Tribe Women’s Football Championship brought 860 girls from 58 teams across 16 districts of Assam onto the pitch. From zonal qualifiers to the final in Jorhat, the tournament played out with discipline, teamwork, and belief.

Jamira Football Club (Dibrugarh) lifted the trophy after a high-intensity final against Kharikotiya Youth Club (Jorhat), with individual awards recognizing standout players across positions 🏆

For donors and partners, the impact is clear.
Every match strengthens school re-engagement, leadership, and confidence among Adivasi and Tea-Tribe girls. Sustainability practices and community partnerships ensured the game was played responsibly and with pride 🌱

On Human Rights Day, PBET spent the day across communities in Tinsukia and Jorhat, engaging students and community members through conversations, a tea garden awareness drive, and a rally that took the message beyond school walls.
