The Jodhpur City Knowledge and Innovation Foundation (JCKIF) has entered into a significant collaboration with The Kunj, New Delhi - a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Textiles - marking an important milestone in promoting and showcasing Rajasthan’s rich traditional crafts at the national level through structured institutional and scientific support.
The exhibition, curated and organised by JCKIF in close collaboration with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Office Of Development Commissioner For Handlooms, Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, was inaugurated on 19 December 2025 at 12:00 PM at The Kunj, Nelson Mandela Marg, New Delhi, and will continue until 07 January 2026 🗓️
The JCKIF exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Guest of Honour Dr (Mrs.) Parvinder Maini, Scientific Secretary, Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser and Prof. Avinash Kumar Agarwal, Director, IIT Jodhpur and Chairman, Board of Directors, JCKIF; senior officials from the Ministry of Textiles, Dr M Beena, Development Commissioner Handlooms, Mr Anuj Ojha, Joint Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Dr. Akanksha Choudhary, Faculty In-charge JCKIF; Col Rohit Khare (retd), CEO JCKIF, and other distinguished dignitaries.
The JCKIF Exhibition at The Kunj, New Delhi presents a vibrant national showcase of Rajasthan’s traditional crafts, highlighting the skill, heritage, and creativity of master artisans 🎨🧵.
Visitors can explore an extensive range of handcrafted products, including Bone and Horn artefacts, Block Print textiles, Salawas Durries, Leather Mojaris, Art Metal crafts, and Bead Jewellery - a true reflection of Rajasthan’s rich cultural legacy and regional diversity 🏺✨.
On this occasion, JCKIF also acknowledged the valuable support and cooperation extended by the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, in facilitating artisan participation and promoting regional craft communities.
The exhibition stands as a strong demonstration of collaborative efforts between Science and Technology, and artisan ecosystems, aimed at strengthening traditional crafts at both national and global levels through innovation, sustainability, and enhanced market access.
