On World Day Against Child Labour, we organized awareness activities across different villages to encourage children and communities to say no to child labour. Children signed a cloth banner as a symbol of their commitment to raising awareness about the illegality of child labour and the importance of protecting children’s rights. They also shared their message through an interactive selfie stand.

Participants showed red cards against child labour, took part in awareness activities, and joined discussions on the importance of education and a safe childhood. A street play highlighted the issue of child labour at a tea stall and demonstrated how it is illegal and can be addressed by the administration. Mothers, SMC members, community members, and children actively participated in the program, making it a meaningful step towards building a child labour-free society.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, we organized a series of engaging activities with children, adolescents, and community members to strengthen their connection with nature and promote environmental responsibility.

Amid the extreme heat, children installed water pots for birds, helping them access drinking water during the scorching summer. They also conducted village clean-up drives and collected plastic waste to promote a cleaner and healthier environment.

Adolescents participated as “Mother Trees,” creating awareness about the vital role trees play in sustaining life on Earth. The celebration also included drawing competitions and several other creative activities that encouraged environmental learning and action.

Together, we are nurturing a generation that cares for nature and works towards a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable future.

Celebration on World Menstrual Health Day was organized with the participation of adolescent girls. Community members and boys also took part in the programme to promote awareness, break stigma around menstruation, and create a supportive and conducive environment for girls and women.

We celebrated Earth Day with adolescents and children from our village community through a series of engaging and meaningful activities. Along with a sapling plantation drive, we emphasized identifying and protecting existing trees. We also prepared seed balls to be dispersed in nearby forest areas, where they can grow into saplings with the help of monsoon rains. Activities like drawing and brainstorming sessions were organized around environmental themes, including understanding the water cycle and the importance of groundwater recharge for our local water sources.

Today we celebrate Sarhul, a festival that honors the deep-rooted bond between humanity and the earth. Tribal communities have lived by these values for generations, venerating the Sal tree and protecting the soil that sustains us.

As we look toward the future, there is so much wisdom in these ancient practices. It’s a beautiful reminder of how to live in true harmony with our planet.

Wishing everyone a vibrant and meaningful Sarhul! 🌸
