DSSIA Welcomes New Director of Industries, Odisha

The District Small Scale Industries Association (DSSIA), Jharsuguda warmly welcomed Ms. Aboli Sunil Narwane, newly appointed Director of Industries, Odisha.

In a brief interaction, DSSIA members, led by President Vikash Sultania and Secretary Ravi Lokchandani, congratulated Ms. Narwane and expressed hope for stronger support to MSMEs in western Odisha. Ms. Narwane assured her commitment to promoting industrial growth, ease of doing business, and local enterprise development across the state.
Other members of DSSIA - Anand Rao , Bharat Agarwal , C.M Mishra , anjani and others were also present and given their important input in the discussion.

DSSIA Delegation Meets JSW-BPSL Management over Supreme Court Liquidation Order

Today, Mr. Vikash Sultania, President of the District Small Scale Industries Association (DSSIA), along with Secretary Mr. Ravi Lokchandani, visited the JSW-Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd. (BPSL) plant in Jharsuguda to discuss the recent liquidation order issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court against Bhushan Power and Steel Ltd., now acquired by the JSW Group.

During the visit, the DSSIA delegation met with Mr. Anil Singh, CEO of JSW-BPSL, Jharsuguda. Mr. Sultania raised concerns regarding the complexity of the legal matter and emphasized the importance of safeguarding the interests of local MSME suppliers and vendors who are closely associated with the plant's operations.

In response, Mr. Singh assured the association that the JSW Group fully respects the decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and is closely monitoring the situation. He informed the delegation that the company’s legal team is actively engaged in exploring all necessary legal remedies. Mr. Singh further clarified that the plant's operations, production, and payments are continuing as usual, with no immediate impact observed.

Importantly, he reassured the DSSIA representatives that JSW is committed to protecting the interests of small industries and vendors associated with the company.

The DSSIA President and Secretary expressed their gratitude to Mr. Anil Singh for his transparent communication and firm assurance of continued support to the MSME sector.
