Our journey with Pyar Ki Dor Foundation has now entered Program Cycle 2—a meaningful step forward in empowering youth and building strong community leaders. 🌱✨

In this phase, we are working closely with young people on youth leadership development, constitutional awareness (Samvidhan Jagran & discussions), and creating Fraternity Labs that promote unity, respect, and collaboration.

We are happy to share that Adda 1 has been successfully completed across different cohorts:
📍 Cohort 1: Deogaon village, Rajpur Panchayat (Jharsuguda district)
📍 Cohort 2: Grindola, Belpahar
📍 Cohort 3: Phasadhipa, Gudihali Panchayat

This 9-month journey will bring everyone together once a week, creating a space for learning, sharing, and growing together. 🤝

To make our collective journey more meaningful, we have created some common values and guidelines for everyone:

✔️ We will give everyone a fair chance to speak and listen respectfully.
✔️ We will come together to raise positive and constructive voices.
✔️ We will always try to resolve conflicts through dialogue, choosing peace over violence.
✔️ We will avoid assumptions and focus on understanding the complete truth.
✔️ We will keep an open mind, ready to learn from anyone and anywhere.
✔️ We will listen to others with clarity and positivity.
✔️ We will step out of our comfort zones and take courageous actions for growth and success.

Together, we aim to build a supportive, aware, and empowered youth community that leads with empathy, responsibility, and positivity. 💫

We discussed with all the members of Pyar Ki Dor about conducting the Samjhoto Program and about mobilization work. We thought that organizing a picnic would be a good idea, as everyone would attend and discussions could be done properly. Therefore, it was decided that on 31.12.2025 a picnic would be organized to explain everything about the Samjhotho program to the adolescent/youth.
During the picnic, more than 50 youths participated. They were divided into two groups—one from Deogaon and the other from Turipada.
Then we explained what the Samjhotho program is, what benefits the youth would receive, and what kind of knowledge they would gain through the program. After that, a decision was taken in a meeting, and it was announced that the meeting would be held on Sunday.
The youths worked together in different activities. Later, application forms were filled, and an orientation session was conducted. We, the Pyar Ki Dor team members, provided a lot of support throughout the program. After completing all the activities, everyone ate food together.

Voices of Play | Our Playground – How & Where We Play 🌟

This week in Deogaon, Rajpur (Jharsuguda, Odisha), we brought together 70+ children to imagine, discuss, and celebrate the importance of play as part of our Children’s Play Manifesto journey.

Through child-led games, drawings, and conversations, we discovered some surprising truths:
For some children, their phone has become their playground.
Many boys dream of a proper football ground—with poles and grass to run free.
Girls shared that while they want to play, often they hold back because of “log kya kahenge” (what will people say). For many, playtime becomes gossiping instead of games.

These insights remind us why play isn’t just fun—it is a right, a space for learning, joy, and freedom.

At Pyar Ki Dor, we believe children’s voices must shape the spaces and opportunities they deserve. This is just the beginning—together, we are weaving their stories into a collective Play Manifesto that will amplify their dreams of play.

From a Quiet Village to Leading Change Arti Pradhan ’s Journey

Arati was born in Belpahar, Jharsuguda, Odisha, and after marriage, she moved to Deogaon, Rajpur a small village where opportunities for women were rare and often limited to household responsibilities.

When she first joined our work, Arati was hesitant, unsure if her voice or ideas mattered. But she carried something powerful a deep connection to her community and a quiet determination to learn.

Over time, she not only found her voice but became a source of inspiration for others. Today, you’ll see her confidently engaging with children, facilitating activities, and leading learning spaces with energy and joy. She has moved from being a participant to becoming a changemaker in her own village.

When we provide space for learning and love, young people and communities begin to nurture, grow, and transform.

What Arati’s journey teaches us:

Growth starts with trust when people feel safe and supported, they open up and try new things.

Leadership is not about titles it’s about taking responsibility and showing up for others.

Listening is as powerful as speaking she began by observing and learning before leading.

Change is contagious when one woman leads, others start believing they can too.

Opportunities create transformation hidden potential often just needs the right space to shine.

Arati’s story reminds us that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. When we create spaces for local women to lead, the transformation is not just in them it spreads across the entire community.

23 Young Women. 21 Villages. 23 Micro Learning Spaces.
What started as a dream is now a movement from the ground up.

These 23 amazing young women are transforming education in their own villages one child, one story, one joyful learning space at a time.

This is not just about education.
It’s about the education of the heart where children learn not just to read and write, but to care, imagine, and lead.

We’re proud to walk with these heartily educated leaders as they light up their communities.

The 1st MAHALLA SABHA under the "Samjho Toh" Fear Free Unity Lab in Lakhanpur Gram Panchayat turned into a beacon of youth-led action against the pressing issue of Climate Change.

Led by the spirited youth of Pyar Ki Dor, this powerful gathering brought together local voices, traditional wisdom, and fresh ideas to reflect on how climate change is impacting our lands, water, and everyday life especially in rural areas like ours.

From stories of shifting seasons and disappearing crops to solutions rooted in community resilience, this Mahalla Sabha became a space for dialogue, learning, and collective dreaming.

A big shout-out to the youth leaders, elders, farmers, students, and every community member who joined hands to make this conversation meaningful. Your participation, insights, and commitment to action showed that change begins right here, in our own backyards.

Together, we’re not just talking climate — we’re building a climate of hope, responsibility, and unity.
