stakeholder alliance of diverse individual & organization in the water security in including media, academic and research bodies and CSO
bodies. The Campaign serves as a platform for ringing together key stakeholder to advocate for ensuring water security for all. Associated Members believe that the Jal Jan Jodo campaign has huge potential to play a critical role in promoting Water Security for All In India. Over the last 02 year, The Campaign has undertaken multiple initiatives in promoting water use efficiency measures and water
security in India. The Campaign has been comparatively active in public engagement and advocacy effort has made significant achievement towards ensuring water security for all. Jal Jan Jodo Campaign is leading the agenda of the science of efficient water use at national level with inclusion perspective. Nearly 1200 organizations and individuals are directly associated and supporting the campaign. The campaign is also receiving
support and technical inputs from 16th Universities like IIT, Mumbai, Banaras & Delhi, Dharwad University, Karnataka, Lucknow
University, Uttar Pradesh, Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai, etc in India. Nationwide Jal Jan Jodo Campaign was started from April 2013 to
connect people with water security and water use efficiency agenda. Water experts, peoples’ organization & CSOs representatives working on water agenda, youth, academician, scientists, etc are integral part of the Jal Jan Jodo campaign. The campaign has played instrumental role in incorporating the water rights agenda into political manifesto of different parties during 16th lok sabha election in the year 2014. The campaign group has also prepared a Water Security draft Bill in the year
2014. This bill will be in direction to provide water security, by ensuring sustainable access to abundant quantity of quality water to live a life with dignity. Jal Jan Jodo Campaign conducted a mega confluence of more than
300+ water activists, experts, practitioners, academicians, concerned corporate houses, academicians for sustainable solution based discussion held at Gandhi Teerth, Jal Gaon, Maharashtra on 19 - 20th December 2014. The objectives of the conference was to identify links and risks in achieving water and food security, to understand technologies available and analyse implementation of successful solutions and to understand current legal framework on
water rights. In the last two years the campaign has been doing needful in support with diversified stakeholders in various part of the country
under the leadership of Shri Rajendra Singh, Waterman and Water Conservationist.
