On the occasion of World Elephant Day, our young learners expressed their love and concern for elephants through colouring, creative activities, elephant masks and beautiful artwork.

These little hands have a big message for the world:

🐘 Say NO to elephant rides.
⛓️ Stop keeping elephants in chains.
🌳 Protect elephant habitats and corridors.
🤝 Promote peaceful human–elephant coexistence.

Elephants are intelligent, social and deeply connected to forest ecosystems. They deserve to live free, safe and with dignity—not for our entertainment.

Let the creativity of our children inspire us to become better guardians of wildlife.

Save Elephants. Protect Forests. Respect Wildlife. 🌿🐘

This gift carries gratitude, connection and a shared commitment to nature.

The beautiful handcrafted clay artwork was lovingly prepared for me by members of the local communities working with the Indian Biodiversity Conservation Society (IBCS) in our conservation efforts.
The artwork beautifully depicts two birds perched together, surrounded by nature, Every little detail has been shaped by hand, making it truly special.
For me, this is not merely a piece of art.
It is a reminder that conservation becomes meaningful when local communities become its partners and custodians.
I am deeply touched by this thoughtful gesture.
Thank you to the community members for this beautiful handmade expression of love for birds and nature.

Celebrating 11 Years of IBCS -A Journey of Nature and People 🌿
23 July marks the Foundation Day of the Indian Biodiversity Conservation Society (IBCS).
A small initiative started with love for nature grew into a movement dedicated to protecting our rich biodiversity. Over the past 11 years, we have worked with nature lovers, students, volunteers, teachers and communities to conserve wildlife, restore habitats and inspire people to become guardians of nature.
From installing nest boxes for House Sparrows, rescuing flora and fauna, documenting heritage trees, organizing awareness campaigns, conducting research, and celebrating the green calendar days, every milestone has been possible because of the trust and support of our team members, volunteers, partners and well-wishers.
On this special day, we express our heartfelt gratitude to every one who stood with IBCS. Your love and encouragement has transformed small actions into meaningful conservation impact. Together, let us continue to our journey to protect forests, rivers, wetlands, birds, animals and every form of life that shares this planet with us.

हम वृक्षारोपण करके क्या हासिल करेंगे, जब हम पुराने पेड़ों को बचा ही नहीं पा रहे?

सालों पहले जिन पेड़ों को लगाया गया था, आज उन्हें "विकास" के नाम पर काटा जा रहा है। और जो पौधे आज लगाए जा रहे हैं, उन्हें इतना भी समय और संरक्षण नहीं मिल पा रहा कि वे एक पेड़ बन सकें।
यदि हर वर्ष लाखों पौधे लगते हैं, लेकिन उतनी ही तेजी से पुराने पेड़ कटते जाते हैं, तो यह हरियाली नहीं, केवल आंकड़ों का खेल है।
वृक्षारोपण तभी सार्थक है, जब उसके साथ वृक्ष संरक्षण भी हमारी प्राथमिकता बने। सबसे बड़ा पर्यावरणीय कार्य नया पौधा लगाना नहीं, बल्कि एक जीवित पेड़ को बचाना है।
आइए, केवल पौधे लगाने का संकल्प नहीं, बल्कि हर पेड़ को बचाने का संकल्प लें।

अन्यथा हम प्रकृति को नहीं, केवल स्वयं को धोखा दे रहे हैं।
