World Parrot Day, 31st May 2026.
Under the Wild Life (Protection) Amendment Act, 2022, native Indian parakeet species (such as the Rose-ringed, Alexandrine, and Plum-headed parakeets) are protected under Schedule II.
Important Rules to Know: Buying, selling, or possessing native Indian parakeets is illegal.
Penalties: Violations can result in a jail term of up to 3 years, a fine of up to ₹1 lakh, or both.

Please observe the plants in your area and share the names of five plants that are attracting bees during the summer season.

Your observations will help us identify important bee-friendly plants from different regions and promote pollinator conservation.

हमने ज़मीन को टुकड़ों में बाँट लिया,कागज़ों में कैद कर लिया “ये मेरा है, वो तुम्हारा है।”
लेकिन कभी सोचा है…अगर पेड़ भी अपनी ज़मीन की रजिस्ट्री करवा सकते?अगर जानवर भी कह पाते “ये जंगल हमारा है”?
तो क्या हम इतनी आसानी से जंगल काट पाते?क्या हर सड़क, हर कॉलोनी, हर मॉल ऐसे ही बन पाता?
शायद नहीं।
🌳 हर पेड़ एक दावा करता “मैं यहाँ सदियों से हूँ।”🐾 हर जानवर कहता “ये मेरा घर है।”

और तब…“विकास” का मतलब सिर्फ इमारतें नहीं होता,बल्कि यह भी होता—कितनी ज़िंदगी हमने बचाई।

सच यह है:प्रकृति को कागज़ की रजिस्ट्री नहीं चाहिए,उसे हमारी समझ और संवेदनशीलता चाहिए।

आज खुद से पूछिए:अगर हमें हर पेड़ और हर जीव से इजाज़त लेनी पड़ती—तो क्या हम वही फैसले लेते जो आज ले रहे हैं?

🌱 थोड़ा कम लें, थोड़ा ज़्यादा बचाएँ....क्योंकि यह धरती सिर्फ हमारी नहीं है।

(Samudra-vasane Devi, Parvata-stana-mandale
Vishnu-patni namastubhyam, pada-sparsham kshamasva me)
Meaning: समुद्रवसने देवी → O Goddess Earth, draped in oceans
पर्वतस्तनमण्डले → With mountains as your bosom
विष्णुपत्नि → Consort of Vishnu
पादस्पर्शं क्षमस्व मे → Forgive me for touching you with my feet.
The essence:
Before stepping on the ground, we apologize and express gratitude to Mother Earth.
Earth is revered as Bhumi Devi/Dharti Maa, a life-giving mother who:
Nourishes all beings
Provides food, water, shelter
Supports every form of life
This builds a deep emotional and spiritual connection with nature.
