👶💚 Infant Cradle Distribution Program in Rengra & Tonto Panchayats 💚👶
With the aim of strengthening maternal and child health, a special Health and Nutrition Support Program was organized in the Rengra and Tonto Panchayat areas of Chaibasa. During the program, infant cradles (palna) were distributed to 16 lactating mothers to ensure safe sleeping arrangements for newborn babies and to reduce the risk of infections.
The program was implemented by Samekit Jan Vikas Kendra, focusing on creating awareness among mothers about balanced nutrition, regular breastfeeding, personal hygiene, and timely health check-ups for the well-being of both mother and child.
Such initiatives play a vital role in improving maternal and child health in rural areas and building a healthier future for our communities.

🌟 National Youth Day | Sundarnagar 🌟
A vibrant Youth Gathering Program was held at Vikas Bharti Campus, Sundarnagar by Samekit Jan Vikas Kendra & Catholic Charities on the theme “Arise, Awake, and Recognize Your Strength” inspired by Swami Vivekananda.
Honored by the presence of Mrs. Ranjana Pandey (DLSA), Ajit Kumar (PS In-charge, Sundarnagar), CWC members, Rotary Club Jamshedpur, and organization leaders.
👥 150+ youth from 6 centers participated with great enthusiasm through cultural performances & art exhibitions.
🌱 Strong youth build a strong nation.

🎄✨ Christmas Get-Together Celebration ✨🎄
The Christmas Milan Samaroh was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm under the joint initiative of Samekit Jan Vikas Kendra, Catholic Charities, and Vikas Bharti. The entire program reflected the true spirit of Christmas—love, peace, brotherhood, and service to humanity.
The celebration was graced by respected guests, social workers, and staff members of all three organizations. The program began with prayer and a welcome song, followed by inspiring messages highlighting the importance of unity and harmony in society. Cultural performances, songs, and warm interactions made the occasion truly memorable.

🌟 Yuva Jamghat Annual Day Celebration – 2025 🌟
Organized by Catholic Charities, Jamshedpur
📍 St. Louis Health Center, Omda
📅 7 December 2025

The Yuva Jamghat Annual Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, bringing together adolescents from different villages to showcase their talents and raise awareness on important social issues.

Young participants delivered powerful messages through skits, dances, and songs on:
✔️ Child Marriage
✔️ Child Labour
✔️ Right to Education
✔️ Anti-Addiction Awareness
✔️ Gender Equality

The event was graced by respected community leaders and representatives of Catholic Charities, who appreciated the confidence, creativity, and leadership displayed by the youth. Their words encouraged the adolescents to continue being agents of positive change in their communities.

All participants were awarded memento certificates, and the youth collectively pledged to keep raising awareness and contributing to a better, more just society.

🌟 No to Early Marriage — Yes to Safe Childhood! 👧✨ 🌟
Samekit Jan Vikas Kendra, Catholic Charities Jamshedpur (CCJ) successfully conducted a 2-day workshop on
“Right Age for Marriage & POCSO Act” with 60 enthusiastic Peer Leaders from Sundernagar.
This workshop focused on educating adolescents about the legal age of marriage and the provisions of the POCSO Act. It strengthened their confidence and leadership to speak up against child marriage and safeguard the rights of children in their communities. 💪📚
Together, we pledge to build a safe, empowered and child-friendly society where every child can grow with dignity, education, and opportunities. ❤️🌱

🌟 Empowering Adolescents Through Awareness & Exposure! 🌟
Samekit Jan Vikas Kendra organized a one-day educational exposure visit to the District Child Protection Office, Chaibasa on 19th November 2025.
A group of 30 adolescents from Sini, Khuntpani & Aamda centers participated in this learning experience aimed at strengthening their understanding of child rights and government protection systems. 🏛️👧👦
During the visit, officials from the District Protection Unit, Child Welfare Office & Child Welfare Committee explained:
✔️ Structure and functioning of child protection mechanisms
✔️ Roles & responsibilities of various departments
✔️ Government schemes available for children in need of care and protection
The children interacted actively, asking many questions and expressing great enthusiasm to learn more about their rights. Such exposure visits help in building confidence, leadership qualities & awareness among adolescents, enabling them to become responsible and empowered citizens of tomorrow. 💪✨

🌿 Only a Healthy Mother Can Give Birth to a Healthy Child! 🌿
Samekit Jan Vikas Kendra, Jamshedpur organized a one-day awareness program on “The Importance and Benefits of a Nutritious Diet” for pregnant and lactating mothers at Palisai village, Tonto block.
During the session, Fr. Birendra Tete, Director of the organization, shared that a healthy mother is the key to a healthy and strong next generation. He encouraged all mothers to include essential vitamins and nutrients in their daily meals.
Sr. Benedicta Ekka emphasized that timely intake of vitamins and a balanced diet can prevent fatigue, anemia, and developmental issues in children. She urged participants to follow doctors’ advice and include fruits, vegetables, milk, eggs, and grains in their diet.
Sr. Fudencia, Project Coordinator, welcomed everyone and explained the importance of balanced nutrition for mothers and infants.
🌸 Around 60 pregnant and lactating women participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
👥 Staff members Chandramohan Laguri, Sanjay Hembram, Narayan Koda, and others also took part in making the program successful.

🤝 A Coordination Meeting on Child Protection was organized by Samekit Jan Vikas Kendra on 30 October 2025 at Dumirta Panchayat Bhavan, in collaboration with the District Child Protection Unit and with support from UNICEF.
The meeting was graced by Mrs. Punita Tiwari (District Child Protection Officer), Mr. Krishna, and Ms. Preeti Srivastava (UNICEF Officer).
Fr. Birendra Tete (Director, Samekit Jan Vikas Kendra), Zila Parishad, Mukhiya Mr. Anil Nayak, and representatives from various NGOs participated and discussed collective efforts to ensure every child grows up safe, valued, and protected. 💚👧👦
