Delegation Meets NHPC General Manager to Discuss Key Issues Related to Kendriya Vidyalaya.

This meeting and the delegation were conducted under the guidance and direction of Mr. Naveed Ashraf Kichloo, Organizing Secretary & Chenab Valley Incharge, INTUC J&K UT, whose continuous leadership and commitment to addressing public welfare issues have played a significant role in taking up matters of public importance with the concerned authorities.

A delegation met Mr. Suresh Kumar, General Manager, NHPC, to discuss several important issues concerning Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) and the welfare of students, parents, and staff.

During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the need for a proper waiting and sitting arrangement for parents who visit the school to pick up and drop off their children. The issue of improved accommodation for security guards was also raised to ensure better living and working conditions. In addition, matters concerning the land donors were discussed.
Mr. Suresh Kumar, General Manager, NHPC, gave a positive assurance that these genuine concerns would be addressed at the earliest and that the necessary steps would be taken to resolve them without unnecessary delay.

The delegation included Mr. Asif, Vice President, INTUC; Mr. Fayaz Bagwan, General Secretary, INTUC; Mr. Arshad Waza, General Secretary, INTUC; Mr. Haseeb, Secretary, INTUC; who actively participated in the discussion and emphasized the importance of addressing these issues in the interest of students, parents, and the local community.

The delegation expressed its sincere gratitude to Mr. Suresh Kumar for his positive response and commitment. It also expressed confidence that, with continued support, cooperation, and coordination between NHPC and the stakeholders, the remaining issues will also be resolved in the future for the overall welfare of the institution and the community.

The Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), Jammu & Kashmir UT, expresses its profound grief over the untimely demise of Shri Heera Singh Bisht Ji, President of INTUC Uttarakhand and former Minister.
Shri Bisht Ji dedicated his life to the welfare of workers, public service, and the values of the trade union movement. His unwavering commitment, visionary leadership, and invaluable contributions will always be remembered. His passing is an irreparable loss not only to the INTUC family but also to the labour movement and public life.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, colleagues, and all those whose lives were touched by his leadership. May the Almighty grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength and courage to his family and loved ones to bear this immense loss.

Provide Air Ambulance Service for Chenab Valley Without Further Delay: Naveed Ashraf Kichloo
Naveed Ashraf Kichloo, Organising Secretary, INTUC J&K UT, has strongly urged the Government of India and the Jammu & Kashmir Administration to immediately introduce a dedicated Air Ambulance Service for the people of Chenab Valley.
He stated that Chenab Valley is a remote and mountainous region where road accidents, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen incidents occur frequently. Due to the lack of timely access to advanced medical care, many precious lives are lost before patients can be shifted to specialized hospitals. A dedicated air ambulance service would ensure rapid evacuation of critically ill and injured patients and save countless lives.
Kichloo emphasized that Chenab Valley has made a significant contribution to the nation's development through its major hydroelectric power projects, vast forest resources, and other strategic assets that benefit the entire country. Despite these contributions, the people of the region continue to suffer from inadequate healthcare facilities and poor infrastructure.
He said that for the past several years, the people of Chenab Valley have repeatedly been given assurances of development, but what they now need is concrete action rather than promises. The safety, health, and welfare of the people must be treated as a national priority.
Er. Kichloo appealed to the Government of India, the Lieutenant Governor's Administration, Members of Parliament, and Members of the Legislative Assembly to take immediate steps to establish an Air Ambulance Service, strengthen emergency healthcare facilities, and ensure comprehensive development of Chenab Valley.
"The people of Chenab Valley deserve equal access to quality healthcare and development. It is time for action, not promises."
