Crescent Welfare Trust Extends Support to Orphan Bride, Continues Its Legacy of Humanitarian Service

In a recent case, CWT extended vital assistance to Kesro Begum, a distressed mother struggling to arrange the marriage of her orphan daughter, Shabina Akhter. Facing emotional and financial challenges, she approached the Trust for help. Responding promptly, Crescent Welfare Trust provided the essential food supplies and other materials required for the wedding, ensuring that the ceremony could be conducted with dignity and without additional burden on the family.

This support is part of CWT’s broader mission. Over the years, Crescent Welfare Trust has undertaken numerous welfare initiatives, including monthly ration drives, medical assistance to the needy, educational support for underprivileged students, aid to widows and orphaned families, and rapid response during emergencies and natural disasters. These efforts highlight the Trust’s unwavering dedication to community upliftment.

The amount was transferred to his wife Madhu Sharma for urgent treatment at Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar.

*Budhal, March 25, 2025* – The Charitable Welfare Trust (CWT) Budhal has once again demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian service by extending financial assistance to Surinder Kumar, son of Romesh Kumar, who is currently battling for his life following a severe accident.

Understanding the urgency of his medical needs, CWT Budhal has provided financial aid of ₹76,400 for his treatment at Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar. Out of this amount, ₹50,000 was disbursed from the Trust's official account, while an additional ₹26,400 was personally collected by Waqar Lone, Chairman of CWT Budhal, from the Budhal market on March 24, 2025. On March 25, 2025, the entire sum was transferred to the account of Madhu Sharma, wife of Surinder Kumar, ensuring immediate access to medical care.

Crescent Welfare Trust Extends Support to Fire Victim in Mahore

In a compassionate effort to alleviate the suffering of a fire victim, Crescent Welfare Trust (CWT) has stepped forward to support Mr. Kamar Din, a resident of Sarsote, Mahore, whose home was reduced to ashes in a devastating fire incident a few days ago. This tragic event has left him homeless at a time when the harsh winter season is setting in, adding to the misery of his situation.

To provide immediate relief, CWT has donated corrugated roofing sheets to help Mr. Kamar Din rebuild the roof of his home. This contribution aims to ensure that he and his family have some protection from the unforgiving winter weather. The Trust remains committed to supporting vulnerable individuals during their most challenging times.

Rajnagar, October 21, 2024 – In its ongoing efforts to support underprivileged communities, Crescent Welfare Trust (CWT) has provided financial assistance under its Marriage Assistance Program to an orphan girl from the region. A sum of Rs 10,000 was transferred to help cover her wedding expenses. The case was verified by Mohd Farooq Inqulabi, former Sarpanch, who submitted a detailed report to the Trust’s management. Based on the recommendation of an 11-member committee, Waqar Lone, the settlor of Crescent Welfare Trust, facilitated the transfer of the funds to the beneficiary’s account.

This initiative demonstrates the Trust’s continued commitment to supporting the vulnerable, particularly orphans and those in financial distress, through its various welfare programs.
