Tuli Research For India Studies (TRIS) in collaboration with Khwaja Ahmed Abbas Memorial Trust (KAAMT) organised a panel discussion titled, ‘The Life & Times of Saeed Akhtar Mirza’ on 10th February. The discussion featured Saaed Akhtar in conversation with filmmakers Dibakar Banerjee and Gurvinder Singh.
The panel was moderated by journalist Akash Joshi.

The discussion was followed by a screening of Saeed Akhtar Mirza’s National Award winning film, Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro (1989)

About the K.A Abbas Memorial Lecture
The Khwaja Ahmed Abbas Memorial Lecture was conceived in the year 2018 with an aim to carry forward the ethos of KA Abbas. The first lecture was inaugurated by acclaimed lyricist and poet Gulzar, followed by the veteran journalist P. Sainath.
