Muslim Women's Forum Muslim Women’s Forum (MWF) is dedicated to working for the empowerment, inclusion and education of Muslim women.

MWF plays the role of a catalyst in addressing a range of problems of Muslim women in India. MWF has worked for the education, empowerment and leadership building of Muslim women, so they can actively participate in issues related to them; can govern interests and laws of the Muslim community in India and also build capacities of Muslim women to participate in wider civil society discourses and not get hemmed in only with their religious identity so as to pluralize the Indian civil society.

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and build a brighter future.

Muslim Women’s Forum (MWF) was delighted to organise it’s consecutive education kit donation drive, ‘Tohfa-e-Umeed”, (an initiative dedicated to supporting children’s education through the distribution of thoughtfully curated school bags.)

We were honoured to welcome Mrs. Salma Ansari, wife of the Former Vice President of India, Mr. Hamid Ansari, as our Chief Guest, along with Dr. Neera Burra, distinguished author and sociologist. Together with Dr. Syeda Saiyidain Hameed, they distributed school bags to 80 children from Yellow Streets, making the occasion truly memorable.

Each bag was carefully packed with educational essentials, including notebooks, a water bottle, lunch box, colours, pencil box, eraser, and sharpener - small gifts that carry the promise of learning, confidence, and hope.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our distinguished guests, volunteers, partners, and everyone who contributed to making this initiative a success.

The storyteller was , local resident and well-known performer who narrated Dr Zakir Husain’s Poori Jo Kadhai Se Nikal Bhagi, and the folk tale Podna Podni ki Kahani. We’re looking forward to growing this community of story lovers!
