Today Democratic Council supported 23 deserving Girl Students. Most of the Girls despite acute family problems are bright and promising.

On this Occasion, member Dr. Deepak Chawla (President, IMA) and Dr. Anupama Chopra ( Renowned Gynae) delivered lecture on Anemia and personal Hygiene at Puberty.

Students were given Notebooks. Also, Sanitary Napkins were distributed to all eligible girls. Caring for environment, 23 plants were given, one each to scholarship students to plant and nurture them.

We committed that deserving Girl Students will be supported upto Graduation level.

जरूरी नहीं रौशनी चिरागों से ही हो
बेटियाँ भी घर में उजाला करती हैं!!

यह घर हमारा समाज भी है ओर हमारा देश भी।

एक बेटी पढ़ती है तो दो परिवार शिक्षित होते हैं।

Democratic Council

Has been working towards child education especially girls since last more than 5 years.

We are fortunate that the journey that started with sponsoring only two children has expanded. This year Democratic Council is going to sponsor 37 Girls.

Very soon we will be visiting this school where one of our member doctor shall deliver a lecture. One of our publisher member shall distribute books. One corporate member shall distribute Sanitary Napkins.

Most of the children are not having one parent. These hardworking girls do household work and find time to study as well. Most of the children despite all odds are bright in studies too. We meet the needy children and their Guardian to assure best support for all their needs.

We understand that many of you have that empathy to do such noble work. If you are willing to join, please contact me. We would love to increase our family at Democratic Council.

Your Democratic Council has decided to support education of 37 very needy girls upto the level of Graduation.,..most of these girls are those who do not have their father or are part time engaged in household work.. if you want to contribute, support a child you may do so by donating 2500/- per child per year. Democratic Council Celebrated Lohri at Civil Hospital with Less privileged Children and their mothers. Distributed Warm Baby Sets, Blankets and woolen Caps. The message was to Celebrate Lohri of Girls as much as for Boys. More than 90 families benefited.

Democratic Council is an NGO working since 2015 for the upliftment of marginalised. Council works for Needy Students, poor patients and women empowerment.

डेमोक्रेटिक काउंसिल ने सिविल अस्पताल में वंचित बच्चों और उनकी माताओं के साथ लोहड़ी मनाई। गर्म बेबी सेट, कंबल और ऊनी टोपियां वितरित की गईं। संदेश था कि लड़कों की तरह लड़कियों की भी लोहड़ी मनाएं। 90 से अधिक परिवार लाभान्वित हुए।डेमोक्रेटिक काउंसिल एक गैर सरकारी संगठन है जो हाशिये पर पड़े लोगों के उत्थान के लिए 2015 से काम कर रहा है। काउंसिल जरूरतमंद छात्रों, गरीब मरीजों और महिला सशक्तिकरण के लिए काम करती है।

Dear Members,

Winters are very harsh. It is more harsh for new born babies. It becomes more difficult for less privileged new born babies and their mothers who find it difficult to arrange resources.

We as part of our continued project are planning to celebrate Lohri with these less privileged children and their Mothers at Civil Hospital on:-
Date:- Friday, 12th January, 2024.
Venue:- Civil Hospital, Jalandhar.
Project:- Distribution of woolen baby sets and Caps

Decision in Governing Board Meeting today.

In pursuit to help the less privileged and especially children in their education, Democratic Council has identified 17 children mainly girls who are in dire need of support. We wish to lend our hand to these deserving children and providing scholarships upto Rs. 7200/- per child per annum.

Further we are also donating two computers for a school for better facilities.

In case you wish to be part of this noble cause. Let's join hands. We would be keen to welcome you to meet these kids and shower our affection and blessings.

Democratic Council earlier decided to support two needy but deserving Girls for their education. Currently their school fees for 10+1 has been supported but Council will try to motivate them to complete their education upto Graduation level and all possible support will be extended to both of them.

Class incharge of Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Abadpura is in touch with us for more such good work.

Anyone who wishes to support the education of Girl Child can come forward. Let's empower our less privileged daughters and sisters.
