ACM S CHAPTER organized Ignite which was a two-day boot camp where mentors taught students the skills of Web Development, App Development, Data Structures & Algorithms, and Machine Learning. The camp was done via Zoom/Teams. A two hour class for continuous two days. This helped students get started in these fields, and guide them towards their tech-oriented goals.

Chapter Spotlight

As the distressed second wave of coronavirus hit India, it became more and more difficult for people around to comfort each other and keep their faith. But even in trying times like these, a ray of light always shines through and brightens the day, and one such case where humanity broke all barriers to help one another was when, MUJ ACM Student Chapter set up a volunteer service alongside the COVID Cell of the Campus.
This service consisted of a team of volunteers who maintained a database of the availability of the beds, medicines and oxygen tanks as well as the point of contact in different cities which updated everyday by different volunteers. When there was such a shortage of hospital care and human compassion they tried their best to bridge the gap between the helpers and the people in need.
The database was updated continuously with Web Scraping Technologies and building a community service for the ones in need and provide them with the necessities and resources that they didn't have access to. This proved to be a perfect example of "Connecting people with technology" which is truly what MUJ ACM Student Chapter stands for as a community as well as a club.
