Vishakha means which is undivided, without branches and symbolizes wholeness and commitment. Vishakha has its roots in the women's movement of Rajasthan. Its key programme areas include:
- Capacity building of individual and the collective
- Creating open and inclusive forums for community responsibility
- Creating forums for enhancement and expression
- Ending violence against women
- Healing towards a re-energised self
- Making systems accountable
- Research based advocacy
