Have you experienced being a participant in any of the technical fests around the country? If yes, then you might have taken part in some technical events or exhibitions. The technical events offer you a problem statement in advance and accordingly ask you to fulfill it by making your robot, software or anything else. They offer the thrill of competition but take away the freedom to express our cr
eativity. The exhibitions provide a platform to display our working, non-working models. They provide us with an opportunity to express but only in front of other students and professors (of the organizing institute). They do not acknowledge our ideas if no substantial and tangible work have been done on them. All the above mentioned have only catered the demands of winners and have always left other participants empty handed. Tech-Expo’14, MNIT Jaipur endeavors to encompass the thrill of competitions, of events along with the freedom of expression of exhibitions. Apart from displaying working, non-working models, this platform also allows you to showcase your ideas in PowerPoint presentation format. Its audience extends to eminent people from the industries and venture capitalists who might just convert your idea into a money engendering start-up. In this Age of Convergence focusing the intellect of the youth is inevitable if we wish to create a tech-savvy society! This is an initiative by us to bring out those Einsteins and Newtons from among us who can help in the technological advancements and consequently in Nation building, by providing them opportunity to present their projects. Let’s turn the tide in our favour, by exploiting the technical faculties of our human resource! Let the idea come out of those brains and find ground through Tech Expo ’14. The intra-college round of Tech-Expo’14 which was organized on 8th and 9th of March in MNIT, Jaipur has seen a stupendous response from the students of our Institute with over 1000 participants coming up with more than 200 projects. In our next pursuit, we aspire to take this event to the national level by organizing an inter-college round of this event from 4th to 6th April where the projects of the students would be judged and scrutinized by industrial giants, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs.
