A familiar craft can still hold unfamiliar possibilities.

As a part of our ongoing initiative, “Project DIGITAL”, Product-Focused mentoring enabled block printing artisan-entrepreneurs to look at their existing work with a fresh lens: what could be refined, what could become a new product, and what could connect better with today’s market.

The idea wasn’t to change what makes their craft distinctive, but to help them build more from it.

Because sometimes the next product is already hidden in the craft you know best.

A meaningful day of conversations, reflections and possibilities at Kotjewar.

The HCL Foundation team spent time with our artisans to understand how their journeys have evolved since last year’s Project DIGITAL Phase 1 Capacity Building Initiative. From the skills they gained and the changes they made in their businesses to the challenges they continue to face, every interaction offered an honest view of the impact created so far.

The visit also opened conversations around what comes next. This year, the focus will go beyond training through continued mentoring, focused workshops and support for exhibitions that can help artisans strengthen their businesses and reach wider markets.

Because real impact is not built in a single session. It grows through listening, learning and walking the journey together.

From Block-Printed Fabric to Stronger Enterprises. 🪵🧵

In the Kaladera cluster, block printing is more than a traditional art form. It is the foundation of several growing local enterprises.

During our visit with HCL Foundation, we connected with 6 enterprises working across block-printed fabrics, finished products, and jewellery beads. The conversations focused on their current challenges, the impact of last year’s training, and the specific support they need in the next phase of the program.
