The Supreme Court’s recent order on stray dogs in Delhi has sparked a vital conversation. While the court's concern for public safety is paramount, this directive also raises critical policy questions. Is mass removal the most effective and humane long-term solution?

This carousel dives into the complexities of urban animal management, analyzing why a blanket removal policy could create a "vacuum effect" and highlighting the logistical challenges of mass sheltering. We explore the evidence-based case for why strengthening the existing Animal Birth Control (ABC) program is a smarter, more sustainable path forward.

Swipe to see the full policy analysis and join the conversation. Let's work together to find solutions that ensure the safety of our communities while also treating animals with compassion.

AI that thinks like a human could arrive by 2030 and it may be the biggest risk we’ve ever created.

Google DeepMind’s new report warns of existential dangers if Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) isn't properly governed. From design flaws to global conflicts, the threats are chillingly real.

But critics say AGI is still far off, arguing today’s systems lack common sense and true reasoning.

Should we believe the warning bells or are we caught in a loop of fear and hype?

Would you trust an algorithm to decide if you're likely to commit a crime?

In the UK, a government-backed program, Sharing Data to Improve Risk Assessment, is using AI to predict potential future offenders. It collects data from those with criminal records, but also includes mental health patients, abuse survivors, and individuals with no history of crime.

Critics, including the civil liberties group Statewatch, warn that this approach risks automated profiling, surveillance creep, and deep violations of privacy. When vulnerable populations become data points, we must ask:

Is this safety, or pre-crime policing gone too far?

What if your creativity never had to end, even after you did? 🎵🧠

In Perth, Australia, a team of artists and neuroscientists has built a "mini brain" from the cells of legendary avant-garde composer Alvin Lucier, who passed away in 2021. This living neural cluster, grown from his own stem cells, now generates real-time music by converting neural activity into sound.

A collaboration between Nathan Thompson, Guy Ben-Ary, Matt Gingold, and neuroscientist Stuart Hodgetts, the project blurs the lines between art, science, memory, and legacy.

Is this posthumous creativity? Digital immortality? Or something even more uncanny?
