Honored to attend the 10th Foundation Day of Asha Mahila Milk Producer Organisation in Udaipur today. The celebration stood as a powerful testament to women-led transformation at the grassroots level. Over the years, this organization has emerged as a beacon of empowerment, resilience, and collective strength, enabling women to lead, earn, and uplift their families and communities with dignity. Today, organisation's operations are spread in -1100 villages in 11 districts in Rajasthan and reaching out to more than 55,000 women members, daily collecting around 1.5 lakh litres of milk. Thanks to NDDB Dairy Services for shaping the beautiful journey.
A key highlight of the occasion was the launch of the Women Digital Education Van, a forward-looking initiative aimed at bridging the digital divide and equipping women with essential digital skills and awareness. In today’s rapidly evolving world, access to digital knowledge is not just an advantage but a necessity, and this initiative will go a long way in ensuring inclusivity. Additionally, the introduction of Calf Starter as a productivity booster reflects a strong commitment to scientific dairy practices, improved cattle health, and enhanced productivity, ultimately strengthening farmers’ incomes.
This milestone also brings to mind the visionary thoughts of Dr. Verghese Kurien, the architect of India’s White Revolution, who firmly believed that true rural progress is achieved when women are at the center of development. He often emphasized that empowering women in dairy cooperatives leads to stronger families and more resilient communities. Similarly, Mr. Ratan Tata championed the idea that empowering women is essential for building an equitable and progressive society, recognizing their role as catalysts of sustainable development.
Initiatives like Asha Mahila Milk Producer Organisation, nurtured under the Tata Dairy Mission, beautifully reflect these ideas in action. The dedication, discipline, and determination of these women are deeply inspiring. As we celebrate a decade of remarkable impact, it is clear that this journey is not just about dairy development, but about creating leaders, fostering independence,
