Awareness & Education for a Drug-Free Society

Recently, we conducted an engaging seminar and awareness session on Substance Use Disorders at Nai Kiran Nashamukti Kendra, Government College, Rajgarh, Churu.

Under the guidance of Nodal Officer Dr. Anita Goswami, the session was delivered by Mr. Ashish Dhoot, Consultant Psychologist at Mindroot Foundation. The session focused on understanding substance use disorders, their impact on individuals, families, and communities, and the importance of timely support and treatment.

What made the session especially meaningful was the active participation and interaction of the students, who openly discussed their questions, concerns, and perspectives.

Together, through awareness, dialogue, and compassion, we can work towards a healthier and addiction-free society. 🌱

We are pleased to share the testimonial of one of our intern students from the University of Portsmouth, UK, reflecting on her learning experience at Mindroot Foundation.

At Mindroot Foundation, we believe that meaningful mentorship and hands-on clinical exposure are essential for developing competent and compassionate mental health professionals. We strive to provide interns with opportunities to observe clinical practice, understand evidence-based assessment and treatment planning, and engage with community mental health initiatives while upholding the highest standards of ethics and patient care.

Receiving such thoughtful feedback reinforces our commitment to fostering an enriching learning environment where curiosity, critical thinking, and professional growth are encouraged.

We sincerely thank our intern for her generous words and are delighted to have been a part of her academic and professional journey. We wish her continued success as she advances her career in mental health.

Another proud moment for the Mindroot Foundation!

Today, two more students have successfully completed their internship with us. During their training, they gained hands-on experience in clinical psychiatry at our clinic, participated in community mental health services through our peripheral outreach programs, and observed our CHOPAL model.

We congratulate both interns on completing this journey and wish them great success in their future careers. We hope the knowledge and experiences they gained will inspire them to serve society with compassion and dedication.

Today, on our way to Ojaria Village in Churu district for our Chopal on Mental Health Awareness and Services, we also visited our plantation project at Government School, Chimanpura Village.

Nearly two years ago, we planted around 2,000 trees here to contribute to a greener and healthier future. This August, they will complete two years, and to mark this milestone, we carried out a maintenance and rejuvenation drive. The area was cleaned, the soil was prepared, and our team pruned the plants to support healthy growth and long-term survival.

These before-and-after photos reflect more than plantation care—they represent community participation, environmental stewardship, and our belief that village development begins with nurturing both people and nature.

At Chimanpura, our efforts continue through Kheti-Badi initiatives, mental health awareness, community engagement, and environmental conservation. Every tree planted is an investment in cleaner air, greater biodiversity, and a healthier village ecosystem.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all team members, villagers, and supporters who continue to stand with us in this mission.

Together, we are growing hope for the future.

🌿 Chopal Initiative | Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder OPD 🌿

Mental health struggles in rural communities often remain silent and unseen.
Stress, anxiety, depression, disturbed sleep, suspicious thoughts, hearing voices, repetitive thoughts or behaviors (OCD), extreme mood changes (Bipolar Disorder), and addiction to alcohol or other substances can deeply affect not only individuals, but entire families.

For the past several years, our team has been continuously serving rural communities through mental health and substance use disorder support.
Many people found, perhaps for the first time, someone who patiently listened to them…
Many families found hope in the middle of emotional pain and conflict…
And many individuals slowly began their journey toward healing through treatment, counseling, and community support.

Continuing this effort, tomorrow, Wednesday, 20th May 2026, a Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder OPD will be organized at Kheti-Badi, Ojaria Village, Churu District.

📍 Venue: Kheti-Badi, Ojaria Village, Churu District
🕗 Timing: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

If you or someone around you is struggling with mental stress, depression, anxiety, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis, or substance use-related problems, you are welcome to visit the OPD.

🌳 Sometimes, a compassionate conversation becomes the first step toward healing…
