NUPUR SANSTHAN is association of young people working together to tackle the varied problems faced by disabled community and also to enhance the opportunities available to empowering them to lead happy and productive lives, integrated into the mainstream of society. Under Rajasthan societies act 1958 & also registered under The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights a
nd Full Participation) Act, 1995. It is a non-governmental, non-religious, non-sectarian, non-regional, non-political society, for helping the physically challenged. The Force behind Nupur Sansthan so far has been working for over seven years without any umbrella, catering to the basic needs of these elect people of the society and counselling them to know their potential. Nupur Sansthan has immensely working for the overall development of society and
especially for PWD, Certainly organization has carried out various initiatives and also established some milestones, As such I.e.:
Rajasthan Police and Nupur Sansthan initiated and established the ‘Rajasthan Police Deaf Assistance Centre’ on 15th May 2004.
* To sort out the communication problems arising between the Police and the Deaf person And to support the by act as interpreter of the sign language used by the Deaf. To control the atrocities committed on the Deaf and Create public awareness amongst the general public about the Deaf and facilitate their involvement in the main stream of society and work towards equal rights of the Deaf. Its Purpose: A deaf person, who visibly is a normal person, faces many challenges in his everyday life including atrocities committed on him by few anti-social persons. These atrocities till now went unchecked and unattended due to lack of a proper communication vehicle between them and the administration namely the police and the judiciary. Nupur Sansthan (NGO), in joint efforts with the Rajasthan Police established the Deaf Assistance Centre at the Police control room. Manoj Bhardwaj, this centre assists the police and the judiciary in properly understanding the matter as communicated by a deaf person and thus helps in taking it to its logical conclusion.
*First ever Legal Aid centre for PWD and Women, Person-in-need: This Centre is extending support
and Legal Aid to the PWD and women, Person-in-need by providing them legal counselling and aid.
*May I Help You Special Counters at Different Major Railway Station: this initiative has been
brought o support and help
* Social Audits initiative: at various organization and institution in collaboration with Department
of Social Justice and empowerment, Government of Rajasthan.
* Special Stickers for PWD’s: The organization has brought this initiative in the special Interest of
PWD’s and common public in collaboration with Jaipur Traffic Police.
* Training & Development: Nupur Sansthan has organized Sign Language workshop and has trained
Several Banks, Academic Institution and Government Organization Such As: Jaipur Police and Jaipur
Traffic Police.
* Employment Fairs: Nupur Sansthan as organized around 56 Employment Fairs in collaboration
with Department of special Employment exchange, Government of Rajasthan.
* Re-invented the Heritage Sport Tournament and Organized Several Sport Activity: the Organization has been organizing Jaipur Cyclothon and Jaipur Bike Polo Tournament - itself Jaipur City’s First ever Bike Sport competition to promote enthusiasm for the same sport, create awareness for environment , health and fitness among young generation and common public.
