The Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, in association with FICCI and BMA, organised Shram Samvad – District-Level Capacity Building & Awareness Programme on Labour Codes on 30 September 2026 at Bhiwadi.

Delivering the keynote address, Mr Ashutosh AT Pednekar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment, emphasised that the district-level outreach initiative is aimed at taking awareness of the Labour Codes closer to employers and stakeholders, helping them understand the new framework and facilitating smoother compliance and implementation.

Technical sessions provided practical insights into compliance requirements, PMVBRY and PM-SYM, complemented by interactive discussions on implementation-related issues. A significant initiative towards informed compliance, stronger social security and effective implementation of labour reforms at the grassroots.

🌾 Better technology. Stronger value chains. Greater farmer prosperity.

The 4th Rajasthan Millet & Mustard Conclave 2026, organised by FICCI on 18 September at Jaipur, brought together policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, FPOs and progressive farmers under the theme **“Resilient Crops with Innovative Technologies.”

Ms. Manju Rajpal, Principal Secretary - Agriculture & Horticulture, Government of Rajasthan, emphasised the importance of taking technology, research and quality seeds to farmers while strengthening partnerships and agro-processing opportunities.

✨ KEY HIGHLIGHTS

📘 Release of “Unlocking the Potential of India’s Mustard Sector: Technology, Productivity and Farmer Prosperity”—reporting an estimated:

📈 12.9% increase in income
🛡️ 23% reduction in crop losses

among farmers adopting hybrid seeds and modern agronomic practices.

🌱 Deliberations on mustard productivity and edible oil security, agricultural diversification, and market-led growth for millets.

👩‍🌾 Recognition of women farmers for their contribution to agriculture, and a special bajra cake-cutting ceremony.

The message was clear: connecting innovation at the farm with processing, value addition and stronger markets is essential to translating productivity gains into better farmer incomes.

FICCI Rajasthan State Council organised the Rajasthan Exports Conclave with the theme "Trade Beyond Borders: Enabling Rajasthan's Global Growth Story" on 25 August 2026 at Jaipur. The conclave brought together senior policymakers, industry leaders, exporters, trade experts, financial institutions and logistics providers to deliberate on strategies for strengthening Rajasthan's export competitiveness and expanding its global footprint.

FICCI organised the 2nd edition of National Mustard Day on 31st July 2026 at Jaipur. The programme brought together policymakers, industry, value chain players, academia, and farmers to deliberate on technology-led growth in mustard, farmer empowerment, and strengthening the mustard value chain. The programme also featured a Capacity Building Workshop for mustard farmers. It was organised by FICCI in collaboration with the CCS National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM), titled "From Farm to Market: Unlocking the Value of Mustard". In recognition of the International Year of Woman Farmer 2026, the programme also felicitated women mustard farmers for their contribution to agriculture and their role in advancing sustainable mustard cultivation and strengthening India's edible oil security.

FICCI, in association with the Government of Sharjah, UAE, successfully organized exclusive One-to-One Business Meetings with senior officials from the Hamriyah Free Zone, Government of Sharjah, on 24 - 25 July 2026 at Jaipur. The Meetings enabled Indian businesses in Rajasthan to explore investment, business setup, manufacturing, representative office, and trade licensing opportunities in the UAE, leveraging benefits under the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
