When we think of disability, we often picture only what is visible. But in reality, disability is far more diverse than we imagine.

Under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the Government of India recognizes 21 different types of disabilities — many of which are not immediately visible, such as learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, and blood disorders.

This highlights an important shift in perspective: inclusion is not about addressing a single need, but about understanding a wide spectrum of experiences.

As we continue our Inclusive Saturdays journey, this is a reminder to look beyond assumptions and become more aware of the varied challenges people may face in everyday spaces.

Because true inclusion begins with understanding.
