Some mornings remind you why the long road was worth it. 🌅

Today’s newspaper carries something that feels personal to us at CLiC.

Rajasthan High Court just directed the state to:
- Give Care Leavers 1% reservation in govt jobs, public employment & all educational institutions
- 5-year age relaxation + full fee waiver in govt selection processes
- Up to ₹5 lakh financial help/interest-free loans for self-employment, startups & housing
- A Care Leaver Education & Scholarship Fund — ₹4,000–6,000/month + hostel support
- An ID card for every child before they leave a CCI — no child leaves without one
- A centralised digital database of every child leaving care
- A Care Leavers Secretariat, with State & Divisional Child Justice bodies to oversee it all
This isn’t just a court order. It’s the system finally catching up to what care leavers have been asking for, for years. This didn’t happen overnight. It’s the outcome of a slow, deliberate wind that’s been building in Rajasthan around Aftercare,` district by district, meeting by meeting.

CLiC team has spent months on the ground training government stakeholders across districts on Aftercare policy and practice the unglamorous, patient work that rarely makes news but is exactly what moves policy from paper to practice.

CLiC team visited Child Care institutions in Sikar and conducted a skill awareness session to introduce children to trending career opportunities.
The team connected with 20 children aged 14-18 currently living in the CCIs, taking the first step in helping them shape their future paths together. The visit also included the DCPU and CWC offices, strengthening our collaboration with the department to create impactful interventions in children’s lives.

Miles may apart us, but CLiC stay connect.

This Raksha Bandhan, at CLiC, we decided to celebrate a little differently.

Instead of inviting our careleavers family to the office, we took Rakhi to their homes.

We prepared small Raksha Bandhan pack with a Rakhi, chocolates, and lots of love and personally delivered them to our careleavers and their families.
And for those who are far away, we made sure distance wasn’t a reason to miss the celebration. From Bengaluru to Dharamshala, Uttarakhand, Delhi and beyond, we couriered their Rakhis and little surprises to them.

Because at CLiC, we believe that family isn’t defined by distance, but by showing up for each other.
This Raksha Bandhan, we didn’t just send Rakhis.

We sent a reminder: You are not alone. You belong. You are family. 🧡

Every visit to Child Home Visit is more than a session, it is a step towards a bigger dream. With every new agenda, new skill, and every conversation, CLiC tries to help children see beyond the limits of what they think is possible.

This time, the session on trending skills was not just about sharing information, it was about planting a new dream in their hearts. And sometimes, the children give us ideas too, ideas that can become solutions for the wider community. Our regular visits are about learning, believing, and building together, so that every child can step out of the box of “impossible” and move confidently towards the world they dream of.
Because every visit can create a new possibility. And every possibility can change a life.

After-Care & ICP Training at Udaipur
Along with DCR Udaipur, we held a training on Individual Care Plans and after-care with 22 stakeholders, including the DCPO and CWC Udaipur.

Mohsin Sheikh (Director)led the session, covering why ICPs matter and how to prepare children for a smooth move into after-care.

The DCPO has now directed CCI visits to help prepare ICPs for children nearing rehabilitation, with CLiC walking alongside every step.

From Care Leavers to Care Leaders....
CLiC’s own team, Shreya Das & Krishnendu Sardar young people who once transitioned out of institutional care themselves, addressed Government CCI Superintendents at the concluding session of a three-day training programme in West Bengal. They spoke on CLiC’s seven domains of support and why continued care after 18 is not optional, it is necessary.
In partnership with DCRT and UNICEF India, our work in West Bengal has reached: 34 CCIs engaged across 12 districts,

The session closed with a clear ask to every CCI: introduce young people to CLiC before they leave, and help ensure that support does not end at the door.

When Anisha Sharma (Anisha Sharma),𝗖𝗟𝗶𝗖 Co-Founder, stood on the platform at the Social Venture Partners India Fast Pitch 2026, she was not simply presenting 𝗖𝗟𝗶𝗖. She was carrying the voices of thousands of CareLeavers who remain unheard.

𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗗 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵: leaving an institution at 18 with no family safety net, holding a bag of belongings, and stepping into an unfamiliar world with fear and zero guidance.

To hear care-experienced youth say, “𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆,” showed us the power of making invisible voices visible.

A few months ago, Anisha was battling persistent health issues. There were days when she felt overwhelmed and disconnected, not as a leader, but as a human being. But her resilience brought her back to the mission.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗩𝗣 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 made this journey possible. And CLiC found their Didi back with the same zeal.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻, 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗩𝗣 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲! 🏆

Seeing people step forward to support CLiC on the spot was deeply emotional. For years, the issue of CareLeavers has remained largely invisible. That evening proved that when our voices are heard, people care and want to act.

But this is just the beginning.

Thousands of young people age out of care every year without shelter, documentation, livelihood skills, or emotional guidance. We want to change that through peer support.
