Arpan Seva Sansthan is a non-profit organization working on sustainable integrated development initiatives since 1996. It was formed by a team of young agricultural professionals who had the dedication & commitment to serve rural community and bring about positive societal change. It was brought into existence with the purpose of ensuring access of community to secured livelihood opportunities. Ag

ricultural academicians felt the need to work with rural communities and bridge the technological, knowledge, infrastructural and market gap that the communities face. They wanted to create thriving communities by delivering integrated services which ensure safety and connectedness with individuals and communities. They believed that NGOs are required as a link between community and philanthropic funds or schemes so that sustainable development can be achieved. By this understanding, Dr. Subh Karan Singh lead the organization with well qualified and expertise team with a belief that through their own initiative they can better fulfil their potential by working together, and thereby reduce the opportunity gap that exists between the advantaged and the disadvantages in society. The team started the activities as “doing by learning” concept from grass root level. Seeing the results of enthusiastic team and the motivated community, the organization has received recognition and awards at district, state and national level which itself speaks about the impactful result of the theory of change. Under aegis and leadership of Dr. Subh Karan Singh, Arpan has grown from 20 to 250+ team members who are dedicated to sustainable development. The organization also expanded its geographic and community outreach under his guidance and vision. With initial focus on natural resource management, capacity building training and institutional development, Arpan later on expanded its initiatives in Livelihoods, Drinking Water Security, Sanitation, Health and Education. Now the organization stands strong with more than 8 lakh rural community and building partnerships with multiple stakeholders (Community, PRI, Government as well as CSR Partners) for ensuring sustainable development. Now the organization has started its development endeavors on sustainability of communities.

During the panel discussion on "𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗦𝗥 & 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰–𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 (𝗣𝗣𝗣)", our 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 & 𝗖𝗘𝗢, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗵 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵, shared 𝗔𝗿𝗽𝗮𝗻'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, Water Resource Management, Groundwater Recharge, Participatory Irrigation Management (PIM), Micro-Irrigation, Climate-Resilient Agriculture, and River Basin Restoration across the four agro-climatic zones of Rajasthan.
During the Round Table interaction with the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Dr. Singh presented Arpan's vision of establishing a Technical Resource Group- A Platform to bring together Government departments, CSR partners, technical institutions, academia, NGOs, Panchayati Raj Institutions, and local communities for collaborative action, knowledge sharing, and convergence. He also emphasized the importance of 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗚𝗜𝗦, 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴, and strong community ownership to strengthen Rajasthan's flagship water initiatives and accelerate the journey towards a Water-Secure Rajasthan.

Arpan Seva Sansthan, in collaboration with 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧 and 𝐂𝐖𝐃, has successfully completed the construction of 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐞𝐢𝐫-𝟑 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐢𝐫-𝟒 on the 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐩𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫, a tributary of the 𝐘𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐢𝐧 𝐘𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫, 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐚.
This nature-based intervention is expected to 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝟒𝟎𝟎 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲, strengthen groundwater reserves, reduce pressure on the Yamuna River Basin, prevent riverbank erosion, and enhance the region's climate resilience.
Completed within 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬, this achievement reflects the visionary leadership of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐡 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐲 and the unwavering dedication of our team, project partners, and the local community.
Together, we are creating a 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞-𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞—one intervention at a time.

As a nationally recognized organization in 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, and 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞-𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, Arpan Seva Sansthan also contributed recommendations for strengthening the National Technical Guidelines (NTGs) through technology-enabled planning, institutional strengthening, GIS and drone-based monitoring, and enhanced community participation.
The workshop concluded with the Vote of Thanks by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐡 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡, 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐂𝐄𝐎, 𝐀𝐫𝐩𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧. Together, we are building water-secure, climate-resilient, and sustainable rural landscapes through innovation, technology, and community partnerships.

A New Chapter for Sustainable Agriculture in Rajasthan!

ARPAN Seva Sansthan is proud to have signed a MoU with the Department of Agriculture, Government of Rajasthan, under the Rising Rajasthan initiative to promote Natural Farming and climate-resilient agriculture across the state.

Through this partnership, ARPAN will support the last-mile delivery of farmer-centric government schemes, strengthen convergence with CSR, NABARD, and other development programmes, and ensure that small, marginal, and women farmers receive maximum benefits for sustainable livelihoods.

The collaboration will also promote Natural Farming, Micro-Irrigation, Improved Seeds, Integrated Farming Systems (IFS), and other climate-smart technologies to enhance farm productivity, reduce input costs, and build resilient farming communities. Capacity building, farmer outreach, demonstrations, and evidence-based planning will further strengthen sustainable agricultural development across Rajasthan.

We sincerely thank the Department of Agriculture, Government of Rajasthan, for this collaboration and look forward to creating a lasting impact for the farming communities of the state.

SBI Foundation Day Celebration: SBI Ojas Scholarships & Bicycles Distributed to Meritorious Students
Under the Gram Seva Project supported by SBI Foundation, Arpan Seva Sansthan organised a special felicitation programme on the occasion of SBI Foundation Day at the SBI Branch, Badagaon, Rajasthan.
The programme was graced by Mr. Anil Dagar, Branch Manager, SBI, and Mr. Ramawtar Choudhary, Project Manager, Gram Seva Project, who distributed bicycles to five meritorious girl students to facilitate safe and convenient access to school. Additionally, SBI Ojas Scholarships were awarded to five meritorious students in recognition of their academic excellence, helping them continue their education and achieve their future aspirations.
The initiative aimed to promote quality education, recognise academic excellence, and empower girls by improving their access to educational opportunities. During the programme, the dignitaries encouraged students to remain dedicated to their studies, pursue their aspirations with confidence, and contribute positively to society.
Through the Gram Seva Project, continuous efforts are being made to strengthen educational opportunities, support deserving students through initiatives such as the SBI Ojas Scholarship, and foster inclusive community development across project villages.

International Yoga Day 2026: Promoting Health and Well-being through Yoga in Rajasthan
Arpan Seva Sansthan, under SBI Foundation’s CSR initiative Gram Seva Project, organized International Yoga Day 2026 programmes in Baragaon Cluster, Jhunjhunu, and Asariwada Block, Udaipur, Rajasthan, to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being through yoga.
The Gram Seva Project focuses on enhancing the quality of life of rural communities through interventions in health, education, livelihoods, youth development, and community engagement. As part of these efforts, yoga awareness and practice sessions were conducted to encourage healthy and active lifestyles among community members.
At the Piru Singh Shekhawat Youth Training Center, Hansalsar, and the SBI Gram Seva Kendra, Baragaon, 172 participants, including youth, women, senior citizens, and staff members, participated in yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation sessions under the guidance of trained instructors. Awareness sessions on healthy living, stress management, and the benefits of regular yoga practice were also organized.
In Asariwada and Ranawada Government Senior Secondary Schools, yoga programmes engaged 250 students, teachers, villagers, and school staff in various yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation practices. Bananas were distributed to all participants, and students were encouraged to incorporate yoga into their daily routines for improved health and concentration.
Through these activities, a total of 422 participants were sensitized to the importance of yoga for physical fitness, mental wellness, and holistic health, reinforcing the message of adopting healthier and more balanced lifestyles.

Arpan Seva Sansthan at National Watershed Management Consultation
We are happy to share that Dr. Subh Karan Singh, President & CEO of Arpan Seva Sansthan, was invited by the Department of Land Resources (DoLR), Government of India, to participate in the Second National Level Consultation on National Technical Guidelines for Improved Watershed Management. The event was held at NASC Complex, ICAR, New Delhi and organized by the National Rainfed Area Authority (NRAA).
During the consultation, Dr. Singh presented Arpan Seva Sansthan’s work and experiences in community-based watershed development. He emphasized the importance of community participation, water conservation, natural resource management, and sustainable livelihoods in rural areas.
The consultation brought together experts and representatives from leading organizations such as World Bank, ICAR, NABARD, ICRISAT, MANAGE, NRSC Hyderabad, and various State Government departments. Discussions focused on the use of modern technologies like GIS, drones, AI tools, and Decision Support Systems (DSS) to improve watershed management across India.

World Environment Day 2026: Plantation and Environmental Awareness Initiatives in Rajasthan
Arpan Seva Sansthan, under SBI Foundation’s CSR initiative Gram Seva Project, organized plantation drives and environmental awareness programs on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026 in Natas village (Baragaon Cluster, Jhunjhunu) and Asariwada Block, Udaipur, Rajasthan.
The Gram Seva Project focuses on promoting environmental sustainability and holistic rural development through key interventions such as the creation of green cover through Jan Van plantations, operation of the Swachchata Saathi vehicle for village waste collection, rejuvenation and renovation of water structures, solar electrification, and sustainable natural resource management practices.
At the Jan Van plantation site developed over 5 acres in Natas village, around 150 women and men participated in environmental awareness sessions, plantation activities, and voluntary community labor (shramdaan). The initiative encouraged environmental stewardship, increased green cover, and strengthened community responsibility toward sustainable management of natural resources.
On the same occasion, at the Gram Seva Center in Baragaon, 20 meritorious girls were provided bicycles, and 20 students received the Ojas Scholarship. A plantation activity was also organized to promote environmental consciousness among youth and community members.
Additionally, plantation and environmental awareness sessions were conducted in Asariwada Block, Udaipur, where participants were sensitized on the importance of environmental conservation, water conservation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable lifestyles. Special emphasis was placed on increasing green cover through tree plantation and encouraging community participation in environmental protection efforts.
The initiative aimed to inspire communities to work collectively towards environmental sustainability and enhance awareness about the critical role of trees, water resources, and ecological balance in securing a sustainable future for coming generations.

Arpan Seva Sansthan has been actively contributing towards environmental sustainability through watershed development, water conservation, afforestation, grey water management, regenerative agriculture, and community-led natural resource management initiatives.

🌳 18 Lakh+ plantations promoted through forestry, horticulture, farm boundary, and community plantation initiatives
♻️ Grey Water Treatment & Water Stabilization Ponds established for wastewater reuse, groundwater conservation, and environmental protection
🚰 Drinking Water Security Plans prepared in 3,000+ villages
🌍 Afforestation initiatives covering 30,000 hectares, with 24.6 million native tree plantations planned over 7 years for climate restoration and carbon sequestration
☀️ Introduced Green Energy Solutions including solar-based drinking water schemes, Community Lift Irrigation Systems (CLIS), solar lights, biogas plants, and afforestation programmes, resulting in the reduction of 78 lakh kg of CO₂ emissions over the last three years.
