We Sindhis must understand that we are Hindus, not Sikhs or Punjabis. Many different organizations, like Amrit Vela, Radha Soami, etc, encourage Sindhis to join them, and then they start brainwashing them. They teach only about their religion and take us away from ours.
We Sindhis are Hindus; our Gods are Shiva, Ram, Krishna, and many more. Our Ishtdev is Jhulelal, and Kuldevi is Maa Hinglaj Devi. Many of the Sindhis are unaware. Many of them join different organizations or convert to other castes/religions, and it is taking them away from their true identity. Our Holy book is the Bhagavad Gita, not the Quran, Bible, or Granth Sahib.
This post is not meant to offend anyone but to show the correct picture and to make you realize who you are. We like to visit Gurudwaras, churches, or other religious places, but that does not mean we must avoid or disrespect our Mandirs and places of worship. Also, all these different organizations are dividing us and encouraging some of us to follow them unthinkingly. There have been many instances that the Sikh community has entered Hindu temples in India and Sindh damaged and tried to destroy the Idols of Hindu Gods; they have entered Sindhi tikanas, Mandirs and taken back their guru granth sahib holy book, and abused Sindhi Hindus, saying that we are like chameleon / Birgit. We are easy to distract and be brainwashed. This post is meant to open your eyes and see and realize your reaction to unthinkingly following “many” other religious organizations and groups.
Social Sindhis page is not against anyone celebrating other festivals, but SINDHI members must not forget their roots—who we are and from where we came. Our ancestors sacrificed everything to preserve and protect our Hindu Sindhi identity.
