The Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD) – Jaipur Chapter strongly condemns the heinous and murderous (attempt to murder) attack on Shri Pawan Kumar Sharma, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor (कुलगुरु ) of Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, and a respected National Council Member of ISTD.
This cowardly act is a direct assault on the core values of education, academic freedom, institutional dignity, and the rule of law. Such acts are unacceptable in any civilized and democratic society.
ISTD–Jaipur expresses complete solidarity with the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor (कुलगुरु), his family, and the entire academic community, and urges the administration and the State Government to ensure a fair and time-bound investigation, bring the perpetrators to justice in accordance with law, and ensure adequate security for academic campuses.
ISTD–Jaipur reiterates that all grievances must be resolved through dialogue and lawful, institutional mechanisms—not through violence or intimidation.
Violence against teachers is violence against the future of the nation.
