Jagatsinghapur District Association of the Deaf Proud of congratulations Today's I am extremely happy to attend the inauguration ceremony of International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025, organized by the State Social Security and Disability Empowerment Department. This is not just a day, but a day to reiterate our social commitment and responsibility towards our brothers and sisters with disabilities. The word 'handicapped' uttered by the glorious Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledges their inherent extraordinary strength and abilities. The success of Odisha players in cricket and para-badminton proves that physical disabilities never hinder the development of talent. Our government is committed to giving people with disabilities a dignified life and emphasizes inclusion in the mainstream of society.
We strongly support the value of this year's main theme 'Fostering a disability-inclusive society for social progress'. Odisha is acting as a leading state in adopting new technology and science based solutions for the disabled. We are giving special emphasis on making the disabled financially independent and for this reason the training program will be further expanded. Not only governmental efforts, but only voluntary organizations and the joint efforts of the society can a sensitive and inclusive society be built. Following Bhim Bhoi's quote "Mo jeevan akhke lai thau jeevan redudhar hai" we all will pledge to work hard for the bright future of our handicapped brothers and sisters and sisters with self-esteem.
