🌸 Krishna Janmashtami is a vibrant Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of the god Vishnu. ☀️

🪷 According to Hindu tradition, Krishna was born at midnight in the town of Mathura to end the tyranny of the demonic King Kamsa and restore righteousness (dharma). Because of his midnight birth, the core devotional celebrations culminate at the stroke of midnight.🌛

Raksha Bandhan celebrates the promise of protection between brothers and sisters. This festival was born on the occasion of the story of Sati Savitri and the king who fell in love with her.

Savitri tied the king's wrist with a thread that indicated the sister-brother relationship and mutual respect, instead of an emotional romantic connection.

Since this time, the eighth full moon of the year is dedicated to remembering the relationship of brothers and sisters, with the duty for the men to protect and support their sisters.

🌸 This Ashram was established many years ago by Great Avadhuta Sri Sri Paramyogeshwar Sri Devpuriji Baba who's miraculous events are still very much alive today in memory of many Bhaktas here and all over Rajasthan. 🚩
