Inaugural Session of 5-Day Gurukul Orientation Camp | VKCHE, Tigdo (Arunachal Pradesh)

The 5-day Gurukul Orientation Camp commenced on 24th April at VKCHE, Tigdo, Arunachal Pradesh, with an inspiring inaugural session marked by the presence of distinguished guests and dedicated karyakartas.

We were honoured to have Dr. Emi Rumi (President, Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh), as the Chief Guest for the occasion. The session was further graced by Pai Dawe (Secretary, DPCCT), along with esteemed members and alumni of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas (VKV).

The inaugural session set a strong foundation for the camp, emphasizing the vision of holistic education rooted in Bharatiya values, cultural preservation, and character building among the youth. The gathering reflected a shared commitment towards nurturing future generations through the Gurukul system in the tribal regions of Arunachal Pradesh.

The 5 Days camp would see the participation of all Teaching and Non-Teaching staff of the existing 4 Gurukuls and upcoming 2 Gurukuls also, for around 50 participants.

We look forward to an enriching and transformative journey over the next five days.

DPCCT team comprising of Katung Wahge (Chairman, DPCCT), Subrata Sen (Coordinator, DPCCT) and Nishant Aggarwal (Chief Development Officer, DPCCT), had a very insightful and encouraging meeting with Satya Gopal ji (Retd. IAS, Former Chief Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh) at his residence in New Delhi.
During his distinguished tenure as Chief Secretary, Shri Satya Gopal ji played a pivotal role in strengthening governance systems, improving administrative efficiency, and driving key developmental initiatives across Arunachal Pradesh, with a strong focus on infrastructure, service delivery, and inclusive growth in remote regions.
We had the opportunity to apprise him in detail about our ongoing Gurukul initiatives and vision, particularly around our work with Tani tribal communities in Arunachal Pradesh. We also sought his guidance and support in further strengthening the impact of our efforts. His deep understanding of the region, governance experience, and thoughtful perspectives added immense value to the discussion.
Grateful for his continued interest and willingness to support initiatives aimed at holistic development in the region. Looking forward to building on this engagement. Pai Dawe Nyubu Nyvgam Yerko, Seppa(Rang) Nyubu Nyegam Yerko Mwya Menjwk Meqkok Rwguu school-Gurukul Nilung Tungko Pabo Mara Kocho

On 26th February 2026, students of Nilung Tungko Pabo Gurukul had an important and eye-opening session on personal safety. They learned about the difference between “good touch” and “bad touch,” helping them understand boundaries and how to protect themselves.

DPCCT is deeply grateful for this guidance, which empowers our students to grow more aware, confident, and secure.

Menjwk Meqkok Rwguu school-Gurukul, Basar, has received a fully equipped school van to support its institutional needs.

DPCCT expresses its sincere gratitude to Smty. Nyabi Jini Dirchi, Member of Legislative Assembly, 29th Basar ST Assembly Constituency, for this generous contribution.

As a residential Gurukul, students stay on campus; however, dependable transportation remains essential for medical visits, academic activities, official work, and participation in programmes outside the school premises. This vehicle directly addresses that need and will strengthen the overall functioning of the Gurukul.

We remain thankful for this timely support that will benefit our students in practical and meaningful ways. May she find nothing but success and blessings in her future endeavors.
