The little boy stands in his uniform with pride,
With a cap on his head and the flag by his side.
The tricolor surrounds him,
Flying high and free,
A tiny flag on his cheek for all to see.

The little girl stands quietly in the crowd, With tricolor colors making her proud.
Her innocent face reflect the joy of the day,
Remembering freedom fighters who gave their lives away.

The colors may fade when the day is through, But the love for our country will stay fresh and true.
The youth of tomorrow will carry it with pride, Keeping India's spirit and dream alive.

Among the leaves its kingdom is laid ,
Hidden where sunlight and shadows cascade .

The Green Vine Snake with watchful eyes ,
Quietly judging where danger lies .

With pointed nose and patient grace ,
It glides through leaves without a trace .

Scales that shimmer in dappled light ,
Turning shadows emerald bright .

Borrowing stillness from the trees ,
Swaying lightly with the breeze .

Upon the branch it rests with care
As if the forest placed it there .

Neither hurried nor afraid ,
A patient hunter , woodland made .
