On the occasion of the 8th Foundation Day of Ataxia Awareness Society (AAS), an Ataxia Awareness Seminar was successfully organized on 14th March 2026 at Fergusson College, Pune, in collaboration with DES Brijlal Jindal College of Physiotherapy.

We were honored to have esteemed guest speakers Dr. Sudhir Kothari (Senior Neurologist, Pune Hospital) and Dr. Renuka Naik (Professor, Neurophysiotherapy, DES Brijlal Jindal College of Physiotherapy), who delivered impactful talks on causes, symptoms, diagnosis, and rehabilitation, highlighting the importance of early intervention and physiotherapy in improving quality of life.
The seminar also featured a very informative skit performed by physiotherapy students, which beautifully depicted the challenges faced by individuals with Ataxia and emphasized the importance of support and rehabilitation.
A heartfelt thanks to AAS volunteers Manan Gupta, Anshu Jaiswal, Dr. Shweta Kulkarni, and the dedicated volunteer team from Jindal College for conducting the program so smoothly and beautifully. Your commitment made this event truly meaningful and impactful.

'Ataxia Awareness Society (AAS)', Indore organised a webinar on psychological wellness for the fighters of Ataxia . Speaker for the webinar was our dear friend Reetam Mukharjee - himself an Ataxia patient and currently working as a Clinical Psychologist at 'Life Guidance Centre' . He delivered a talk on "understanding requirements of rare disease patients ".
Thank you so much Reetam for the session and sincere gratitude to all the members who joined the meeting.

Hey friends! Ataxia Awareness Society (AAS) is organizing a psychological wellness webinar with a life coach on Saturday, 21st February 2026.

Our life coach is none other than our friend Reetam Mukherjee — himself an Ataxia patient and currently working as a Clinical Psychologist at Life Guidance Centre. He is going to deliver his talk with the understanding and requirements of us , "Ataxia patients".

In a world that doesn’t always understand our pace, it’s important to pause and check in with our inner selves. Reetam is leading this conversation because he truly understands the nuances of our journey. Come as you are with your frustrations, your hopes, or simply your need for a supportive ear because self-care isn’t selfish; it’s survival.

अटैक्सिया अवेयरनेस सोसाइटी इंदौर और बैक टू बेसिक्स सोशल वेलफेयर सोसाइटी इंदौर की दो सामाजिक संस्थाओं ने सामूहिक होकर एक वेबिनर आयोजित किया। प्रमुख वक्ता प्रसिद्ध कार्डियोलॉजिस्ट व मोटिवेशनल स्पीकर डॉ भरत रावत जी ने सभी अटैक्सिया के फाइटर्स जो कि हृदय रोग से पीड़ित है और अन्य हृदय रोग से ग्रस्त सभी का अपने वक्तव्य से मार्गदर्शन किया । स्वास्थ की चार कुंजी चार चवन्नी को 1) मेडिकल चेकअप , 2) आहार नियोजन , 3) व्यायाम , 4)मानसिक स्वास्थ के रूप में विभाजित कर बहुत ही आसान तरीके से समझाया और उनके प्रश्नों के उत्तर भी दिए । संस्थाएं आपकी हृदय से आभारी है ।डायटिशियन डॉ पूनम विशाल ज्वैल ने हृदय रोगियों के लिए डाइटरी गाइडलाइंस पर जानकारी दी, सभी प्रतिभागियों की आहार संबंधी प्रश्नों को सरल तरीके से उत्तर देकर हृदय रोगियों के लिए संतुलित प्लेट दिखाकर सभी की जिज्ञासाओं को शांत किया।

Ataxia Awareness Seminar – Jabalpur ✨

On the occasion of International Ataxia Awareness Day (IAAD), Ataxia Awareness Society (AAS) organized an Awareness Seminar at Sukh Sagar Medical College & Hospital, Jabalpur (M.P.) on 13th September 2025.

The session was attended by doctors, interns, and MBBS students. It featured an insightful talk on Ataxia by medical experts, followed by an engaging quiz on Ataxia. The event was hosted on behalf of AAS by Mrs. Rashmi Gupta and Mrs. Shyamoli Soni.

The program concluded with meaningful interactions with patients in the OPD, making the session more impactful.

Overall, the seminar successfully enhanced knowledge about Ataxia among future doctors and strengthened awareness within the medical community.
