After Bhutan taking the lead in recognizing “Happiness” as a single ingredient as equivalent to GDP (Gross Domestic Product) or PCI (Per Capita Income) and UN by its resolution declared March 20th of every year as International Happiness Day. March 20th , 2013 was the first “International Happiness Day” Celebrated around the globe. Our greatest thinkers Aristotle, Socrates, Pluto, Epicurus had st
udied and found that happiness is a final end or goal that encompasses the totality of one’s life. It is not something that can be gained or lost in a few hours, like pleasurable sensations. It is more like the ultimate value of our life as lived up to this moment, measuring how well we have lived up to our full potential as a human being. From what has been said, we can highlight the following features of theory of happiness:
Happiness is the ultimate end and purpose of human existence
Happiness is not pleasure, nor virtue. Happiness cannot be achieved until the end of one’s life. Hence It is a journey. Happiness is the perfection of human nature. Depends on acquiring a moral character, where one displays the virtues of courage, generosity, justice, friendship, and citizenship in one’s life. These virtues involve striking a balance or “mean” between an excess and a deficiency. Aristotle was a scientist but as he grew deeper and deeper he found out that more than anything else it’s the Human Psychology that is important in Human Welfare. He found out that all human Endeavour be it Science, Material Riches, Success, Health all not an end in themselves. They are desired as human Endeavour as a means to achieve something further. That something further is Happiness. We desire Happiness for nothing further, as an end. The world then has a common Goal in the form of persuit of Happiness
We intend to bring in the wisdom which has already been propounded by our philosophers, Thinkers, Scientists, Religion worldwide (Wisdom enshrined in Eastern Vedic Culture-Geeta, Vedas, Upnishadas, Christainity, Islam, Buddism, Sikkism, Jainism & the rest). This wisdom needs to be blended with Modern Technology as website, facebook, phone applications to spread it to one and all. We are employed motivated and dedicated team. The firm’s view is to spread Happiness Globally as much as we can, which is the common goal of every living creature on earth.
